Honestly the only place I really hate buying games is Gamestop for one everyone there is an ass hat and they act like stuck up *****es.....

Then is their return policy, which is actually why I'm raging so hard at them right now because I bought a new game there (Marvel Vs. Capcom 3) and I played it for a bit and did not like it at all and I couldn't find the receipt until now and when I called them to see if I could return it (I paid $65 for it btw) they said no they will not give me my full refund they can only give me $25 store credit. At any other store you can return pretty much any item and get a full refund. Seriously thats BS I'm never going back there again **** them.

/End rant

The people at my Gamestop are cool, but yeah, their return/trade-in policy sucks major dick.

I know about trying to make profit, but I don't care.

I tried to trade in my 360 Elite console, with all wires, no faults, and bought within a year.

They offered $40 in store credit.

I did this

Then I realized he was serious

and I did this

Did you but MvC3 new or used? If it's new then you couldn't have gotten a refund anyway. Most places won't take new games back if they've been opened.

Bought it new because my co-workers were saying it was sick but for me it got repetitive quick and the online play wasn't that great....

Anyway their return policy doesn't make any sense... it seems like they're just trying to scam people to me.

i heard that game was cheesy anyways, i dont plan on getting it any time soon. but yeah the gamestop here is pretty much the same way, full of stuck up pricks

While gamestop does suck, you can't return a new game anywhere. It is constituted as used once it has been opened and played. No company will let you 'rent' a new game for free. That's asinine.

I don't have much a problem with my local Gamestops. Most of them will help me find something for me if I ask. I do get the hard sell from time to time, but that is expected due to corporate pressure.

Unless you are sure of your purchase, Gamestop is not best place for new games. Sometimes games labeled as new have their disks taken out of their boxes, which runs the risk of them being in less than pristine condition. I mainly go there for older titles that would otherwise be out of circulation, especially last-generation games. You gotta take the good with the bad.

Anyways, Gamestop is a easy target for complaints. Perhaps it's more productive to discuss what is the best place to buy games?

Yea i learned my lesson from dealing with them, but I'm still pretty sure I could've forced my local Walmart to take the game back lol....the only reason I'd go back to Gamestop again is maybe for used games as the above poster said, but other then that I'm avoiding that store at all costs lol.
