Wishes for Rain

No crown! That was the thing that put him over the top in his last appearance. He looked too much like an Arabian Nights dancer/ninja. Blend classic ninja with the slightly ornate stylings of Ermac and Reptile's Alternate Costume and I'd be quite happy with his look.

I'd also like to see his back story fleshed out a bit more, though that would be a bit more difficult to do with him as DLC. An accompanying Story Mode chapter would help, but that'd be a tall order.
 
I want them to reconnect his Triligoy story about his dad being killed by Kahn but instead of him turning good have him turn to a complete badass. He and Reiko cold be rivals form Kahn's thrown
 
I want to see his water spraying attack from Armageddon return, as well as his control orb from Trilogy.
 
Like a real ninja purple and black with some golden stuff that says "hey im a prince!" but not a crown, just some golden guantelet and maybe boots. And all his MK: Armageddon powers and UMK3 habilities too.

story: I prefer the story of ex-Lin Kuei rather than the prince crap. probably because it was connected a lot to post mk3 era and characters like daegon and taven :P

costume: I did like his MKA looks, the cape was kinda.. weird. the rest is good imo. however it does look too.. fancy? I'd want them to focus on making him look more like a ninja as well. if they wanna give him hair in his first costume as Smoke, I think his hair in MKA looks great, with that ponnytail thing.

moves: now as for moves, I'd wanna see water-based ones plus his lightning one but it being different and hopefully better than nightwolf's. also, how about a new dagger move? maybe it can be close only so he can stab the opponent in the stomach or used in his xray? also, the roundhouse kick, two versions, the normal one and one that will only toss you towards the same part of the screen with forcer but with a water effect on his foot. he could also raise a mini waterfall to knock you over underneath the ground kinda like shang tsung raises those fireballs. waterball to slow you down like the orb thing in MKT. xray idea: stab with a dagger in the stomach, kick you on the spot pushing you away at the same time and then throwing a lightning on you. or b, roundhouse kick, uppercut when you get back and strike you with a lightning bolt while still in the air from the uppercut so the lightning will crash you down on the ground with force and electrify you at the same time. if the water really counts though, ideally, it will be seen while fighting him that when he uses his water powers he slows you down some (clothes getting heavier with all that water).

fatalities: the lightning fatality. LOOOOOOOOOOOVED that fatality, it's just brilliant. and then a water based one, maybe raising some kinda water portal that when the enemy's in the pressure just crashes him like a toy? I'll edit or re-post if anything else comes to mind

NOO ! Too many villians are alive in MK9 We need some more heroes besides Sonya and Johnny

I didn't much care for the crown-topped look of Armageddon, but I don't want him to fall back to an outfit that so similarly resembles a straight up ninja. He needs a bit more ornate decor than simple ninja-hood offers. He's an Edenian Prince and a Demi-God, he prolly needs a little something extra.

Seriously though, I hope they release Rain as DLC. I would be surprised if they did not considering the backlash of him not being on disk.
 
I would like him to be rivals with Liu Kang, because of both of the two liking Kitana. I also want Rain to be neutral/good in a way, like Kenshi, willing to fight for good when he needs to but otherwise usually able to sway either way.

I thought exactly the same, the most of the characters design in last 3 ps2/xbox games was remembering to me something from Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys this is why i don't like them a lot, but after i saw what they did with mk9 i am sure they will make him look great.
 
I prefer they go with the idea from UMK3/MKT (whichever), where he starts off evil but turns good, instead of Armageddon's he finds out about his past and decides it justifies becoming a tyrant.

However .... I liked his Armageddon look. :P
 
Update his Armageddon look, but lose the tiara or whatever that thing was.

Give him his water moves back, but lose the Lightning because that'd be way too close to Nightwolf and Raiden any way they do it, and turn his Super Roundhouse into a normal.
 
I only want him with a ninja look and with all his water powers, id get mad if they dont add the water powers from Armageddon, that ones gave Rain originality...
 
idk about his water powers Fox17, we'll have to wait. but now that I remember, we DO have a ninja look for sure. he is in Sindel's ending, it's a distinguishing ninja on the left, in purple and it actually reminds me of that cool Arabic like sketch someone made? I don't have the link to it right now but it was quite popular, lots wanted Rain to look like that. anyway, that was just a slide though, hope to get an announcement and see how he looks soon
