I've made Miis of myself, friends, family, and anybody passing on the street. And I'm pretty damn good at it. Even helped improve my roomie's Mii.

Is making Mii's very accurate, like you can find anything and everything you need?

No there are definitely fewer things than I would like (especially in the hair department) but it's accurate enough that you can make anybody you want to and have them be recognizable even if they arn't perfect. Some people just lend themselves well to being Mii'd. For instance, my roomie's dad, myself, or Admiral Akbar from Star Wars Episode 6.
