I seriously don't understand it.
Too many people are complaining about Scorpion. I don't see what there is to complain about. Outside of Sheeva or Baraka, Scorpion is about the easiest character to beat when being played by a newb. I play Scorpion exclusively, and every time I go up against another Scorp in an online match, they get demolished because they have no idea how to play, and prefer to spend most of their time spearing.
Honestly, it's for this same reason that they aren't at all hard to beat. People make out it like Scorpion is this hugely imbalanced character with all these cheap moves. First of all, he has no real power moves, he can't stun, flameport leaves him completely open to attack if blocked, spearing is unreliable, and aside from his triple punch and takedown, he doesn't even have that many great combos/ So seriously, why are people so upset by this character?
If you're getting owned by Scorpion so much, you need to learn to block more often- it's as simple as that. If you do that, his flameport is useless, spear is useless, lowblocking will make his takedown useless, and hise triple punch will be weak.
So really, what's the big deal? I mean christ, I think most of the people complaining just aren't very good at the game, and because Scorpion is so popular, they get owned by him often because a lot of people play him-then they assume it's because he's a cheap character when, in fact, it's because they kind of suck.
