I don't think I communicated my point effectively. Having different opinions are not what I was referring, but more so the delivery of those opinions.
For example, if I JUST started playing Mortal Kombat yesterday and I make a comment to the effect of "OMG Noob is the old Sub?," I'm pretty much going to be murdered over the internet. What's an obvious and dumb question to someone may be completely legit to someone else, and people here don't care to discern the difference.

Amen, Internet people aren't exactly sympathetic. Maybe I'm just weird but I wouldn't treat somebody badly if they had just found something like that out, even if it's something I've known for years.

It's a justified observation, but, at the same time, people also need to realize that in a forum community, it is most definitely going to happen. People are sitting safely behind their computers and don't have to confront anyone face to face so they feel more powerful and will say whatever they want to say because they wont have a fist to their face in the next few seconds.
Trust me, the way some people here act, I can tell you that they are the EXACT type who wouldn't dare respond that way in person.

What ive noticed is why do people come on here and expect their opinions to be heard when their calling people names and flaming!? WTH cant people have an adult conversation and an adult debate reqardless of your views!? I like debating and convos but not when people feel the need to start flaming and acting like an arrogrent PRICK.....sorry I need to vent Its astonishing that people act this way especailly on the internent nothing irks more then when someone thinks their just the top **** and no one is allowed to disagree with them... ok im done venting now

The internet is where they are going to act like that bc they don't have to face the people they are talking down to. I got on hoping to be able to check the thread I started but instead it was closed bc it had turned into a flame war, weak sauce.

Correct. Dunno how I misread that.
Some people actually enjoy flame wars, but this site is far from a bastion of negativity. In fact, I don't honestly get how anyone would've noticed it enough to make a thread addressing it.
