what difficulty setting do you have it on?

Yeah, I definitely understand the fun thing. But I became so focused on getting that trophy I didn't want to do anything else until I got it. Just practicing is really all you need to do.

Practice harder and you'll get better. Here's a rubric I follow:

1) Play a good amount of time with each character until you know each one's weaknesses and attacks/advantages
2) Pick three and learn their combos in full.
3) Play a few matches in practice mode on the next difficulty.
4) Play the ladder on the next difficulty.
5) Recycle the last two steps until you can easily beat the normal (non-Goon) characters.
6) Play online.

If its a character im used too, medium, if im learning a new one, easy, and if I just feel like breezing through, beginner.

thank you apart from 6(cannot get online) i'll do them all, i need to get more used to raiden so i can complete the game(which doesnt seem to be a problem for anyone else apart from me) the hardest boss character i ever had to fight in any fighting game before hand was Gohyakumine Bankotsu-bo so i am not used to such ridiculously hard bosses, when i next play the game i'll just continue the fight till i get better and maybe in a couple of hours i might have a chance
