What did u all think of Noob/Smoke's ending? (SPOILER)

this post doesn't have much to do with the ending. i haven't even beaten the game with noob smoke yet, but...

i am so tired of the rip off crap. i say you make a character, you give him unique characteristics. and sure i it could be just midways laziness, or maybe they're just not creative enough, but either way i don't think thats an excuse. if you can't make a unique character, just dont make it. i always thought smoke having scorpions moves was retarded, im not even gonna start on shujinko, and noob having all these different fatalities... and even monster. fine if monster IS scorpion, at least tell us that. but if he isn't dont rip off the moves. the only character who's rip off's i thought were fair was reptiles in mk1, because he had both scorp's and sub zeros moves, and he was so slick that he was like a boss. but when he became playable, they gave him his own shit, which they didn't do with human smoke or noob, until mkd.
Whoa shnazz. I'll submit the point about Smoke with Scorpion's moves, but really...Shujinko? He doesn't "rip off" anyone like the other characters you mention. He's got his own unique fighting styles, and it makes sense according to the storyline that he's got a combination of a bunch of peoples' special moves. His power is, he gets other peoples' powers. Oh snap! What else is he going to do? They know better than to pull a Shinnok/Old Shang Tsung again, so they did what they did, and did it well. Isn't that kinda like Necrid in Soul Calibur 2? Why yes, it is (difference being that Shu has a legitimate reason for having other peoples' moves, and blah blah blah). Comparing Shujinko to the old Smoke in terms of "rip off" is incredibly unfair.

Also, I think it's kinda unreasonable to expect that they would give "monster" its own unique 3-set of fighting styles and its own special moves. The thing makes a total of _one_ appearance in the game, which is in Konquest mode no less (Note: Konquest = not the main game). I think it's also good that he doesn't have his own moves, or we'd hear more complaining along the lines of "I want to play Monster, why can't I play Monster?" (Note: It may very well be possible via game-altering code programs, but those are for suckers). I guess you could rebut that by pointing out the appearances of Shang Tsung, Sonya and the like, but they do the same thing anyways. (I do not believe they have any stances that other characters do not use in MKD. If they don't, +1 to you).

So yeah, Monster is unoriginal, but does it really matter? He isn't important. He appears once. This degree of insignificance is shown by the fact that he doesn't even get a real name.

If Monster turns out to be important in the next MK game, feel free to come to my house and punch me in the head.
