what characters are you liking so far?

Sticking with my main Raiden. Controls have always been pretty similar and the input has always made sense for the attacks. Really liked Cassie in story mode but need some more time in the TR with her. Dropped Quan Chi as a main, doesnt seem to have the same powerhouse effect as in previous titles. Really want to be good with Ferra/Torr, really excited to see a symbiosis character included this year.
 
So far I'm really digging Cassie "Brawler" tonight Im going to try Hollywood.

However I'm loving Jacqui Briggs which I never would have guessed.
 
I was wrong about ferra/torr. Theyre actually pretty solid.

Kotal is my main as expected but suprisingly im the best with his sun god variation his comvos and that sun blast move is beast.

Kung lao is still one of my mains but hes completely nerfed compared to mk9 ( thanks alot perfectlegend -.-). Hes much slower and his combos are mediocre but can do a lil damage here and there.

Liu kang is still beast. Probably will be my go to besides kotal.

Erron sucked at first but omg once you get the hang of all his moves and combos hes very deadly. I suspect you will see a lot of erron players at evo. Havent tried marskman yet but gunslinger is so great.

Have to spend more time with others and its still alot of people i havent even tried yet so but overall gameplay wise i don't think any 1 character in this game sucks except maybe quan chi.

I really thought I would enjoy Hollywood more, but Brawler is just so freaking awesome. I haven't gotten back to Hollywood since I tried out Brawler.

Also **** NRS for screwing up Kung Lao.
 
I need to experiment with Jacqui more; just finished storymode, and during her scene she was such a punk ("Say my name, !"). Must labman some more.
 
I've been trying out Raiden, Kotal Kahn, Sub-Zero and Kung Jin.



I need to play more with Kung Jin, but I'm liking his Shaolin variation.

I'm not too wild about Kotal's "Sun God" variations (at least in story mode), and had to get used to not having his wooden bat / saw weapon in that variation.
I need to try out his War God and Blood God variations, though.

Sub-Zero is fast as hell, which I absolutely LOVE.
I couldn't stand him being a slow, zoning, power character as my playstyle is more rushdown, and feel like I can use him better in this game (at least with the Cryomancer and Grandmaster variations that I've tried out).
I have yet to use the "Unbreakable" variation, but I will try all 3 of his.

Raiden is VASTLY improved for me, as well in MKX, and I love how fast he feels.
He also has better combo strings in MKX, IMO, and I LOVE his Displacer and Storm Lord variations.
 
Liu Kang ,Johnny Cage are the mains!


Throw in Scorpion ninjutsu,Kung Lao buzzsaw,Kung Jin ,Sonya,Cassie,Kitana mournful(best), Subzero cryomancer,Raiden displacer. They all are pretty fun to play with. Going to try the rest of the cast later
 
Takeda, Kung Jin and D'vorah. Takeda is a new favourite. Jacqui isn't bad either. I'm not liking Kotal Khan much. I thought he'd be one of my favourites.

Reptiles normals are what I am loving in this game. They are easier to get used to and a lot more fun. The reverse elbow and forceball may be slower, but Reptile's increased movement speed is welcome. My god his second fatality totally makes up for the dull first!
 
Tigrar Goro so far. Kuatan Warrior is pretty decent too , but I don't care for the Dragon Claws variant. I go with Tigrar due to Goro's severe lack of low attacks. At least I can kind of mix it up with strings into a low fireball. He plays a lot like Lex Luthor from Injustice. Clunky with slow normals that mainly hit high or mid. It's a pretty easy transition for me.

But I'm really waiting for Jason Voorhees. Ooooh yeah.
 
Ermac is good again. I like the mystic variation, but telehang vs the old slam is a bit tough to get used to. The lack of fireball is tough too. So sometimes i like his fireball variation

I like Erron Black's gunslinger. Lots of fun, although the moves and stances are a bit much for my casual ass.

Cassie and Kenshi are also super fun, these are all my mains.

Pandering to the casual crowd shouldn't be on their mind in the first place. But NRS are smart in this day and age of the microtransaction, are they going to make their bank, as hundreds of people are going to drop serious coin to keep those easy fatalities on hand.

Back on topic, Scorp and Liu Kang are what I've got so far, but seeing Erron Black gameplay is getting me interested to try him out.

Keep in mind:
1.) NRS sure as hell doesn't need the money.
season pass: $30
BS Sub Zero: $4.99
Krypt clear: $19.99

2. There were enough people making it known that it was an issue that Ed himself personally addressed it and gave us easy fatalities.
However, there is no good reason to charge people for it. I'd say that the ability to purchase permanent easy fatalities would be a good compromise. Otherwise, EF tokens will never be in my cart.

3.) Who's to say a lot of people who are more than kasual don't have trouble with them?

4.) How would you re-address that for people with autism and other learning disabilities? Hmm?
 
yeah Kung Lao is fun as hell to play with but you can tell he's nerfed cuz the damage is so low on his moves. you gotta run cicles around the other guy to win sometimes. o well.. still fun.

Yea I agree. I like how he fights. I just played the tower with Mileena and her play style is just amazing. I can easily do chain combos with her unlike other characters. And Cassie is the only character I can do a run combo with.

Erron seems amazing, I´m really liking his play style...
Cassie, OMG so quick, so strong... amazing gameplay!!!
Sub-Zero: First game in decades I can play again with him, he´s fast, he´s amazing, cannot say anything else... (the clone´s variation is maybe the best of all the game)
Kung Jin: Well, he´s not so good as I thought but it´s pretty decent....
Scorpion: Not perfect, but fine....
Goro: WOW, first time I play and win with a bulky char

All the rest aren´t really working for me....
But I haven´t played with Liu, Reptile, Quan Chi and Shinnok yet, so I can´t know....
(I WON´T PLAY WITH JAX AND KANO)
 
Just wondering did anybody else buy the kombat pack and Samari pack off xbox one game store in a bundle for 80.99

I bought it but i cant play with jason or predator or any of those guys. When will they be available or are they unlocked somehow?

Mileena I ve never been a fan of hers but she looks amazing in MKX

DLC (this pack AND Goro) is not showing up when offline. What gives? If I buy something I expect to have it around the clock, not just when I have a internet connection. This sucks. I mostly use Kenshi, but also really enjoy using Goro, but seeings how my internet connection is sucky I hardly ever have my ps4 connected to the internet. Hope the fix this soon. Wouldn't have paid for any of the dlc characters if I would have known.

Well goro shows up for me but everybody else doesnt so idk. Have you been able to use jason or predator?

Yea I really enjoy Mileena too. i only trained with her a few minutes but i definitely see her being one of my potential mains, shes extremely fun to use. i just need to learn more combos with her
