Useful Tip!

I just figured something out. It's not groundbreaking or anything, but it's definitely useful. I found out that if you do a short combo you don't need to press the button for the special, just the directions.

Example:

Cyrax's Teleport special is D, B, 1. If there is a combo involving 1 then you only need to press the directions to do the special.

How I'd normally do the combo: 1 1, D, B, 1.
New method: 1 1, D, B.

Both of them do the same thing but without the last button press. They are both a 2 hit 5% combo with a teleport at the end. It's what I use to boost up my super meter. ;)

Yeah, I've actually known about this already. Pretty nice little thing they added in, I must say.

I personally don't like this feature as special moves come out when not intended to, or the wrong special move comes out.

I wish there was a way to turn this feature off.

I agree.

Sometimes you DO NOT want that result because it triggers a super move that you don't want to use.

It even prevents you from using some special moves the way you want during combos.

Yeah it's a nice little trick if you prefer to do the special on release and are able to get the timing down. Just a note, though, that the length of the combo doesn't play into this technique, just the last normal you do before the special.

Ya thanks for sharing as I'm sure a lot of new players / non-vets to fighting games figured this one out yet. Also you could do this in the demo version. I use it mostly for say scorp's tele loops as it makes it much easier to execute it~

Yeah it's screwing me over, because with Ermac I have this small combo (Forward Jump 4, Down Back 2) and it always reads it as Down Back 4 instead of 2 :(
