Upset with your Kollector's Edition Strategy Guide? Read this...

I used to own a MK3 BradyGames strategy guide. It was useful during a time when fighting games did not have an in-game movelist and internet access was not commonplace, if at all. Otherwise, there isn't much information that will help the reader become a better player.

I don't regret buying the strategy guide, since I bought it mainly because it looked interesting, but it could've been a hell of a lot better than it is.

There are quality problems all over it, from very little in the way of individual character strategy, the lack of the character evolution section that was supposed to be in it...all the way to spelling errors and input command errors. It has a rushed, sloppy feel to it.

I don't really like how it doesn't really outline how to improve with certain characters, piggyback does pretty good guides in my opinion!

Thank god I love mk but I'm not into playing it hardcore. How do you have the nerve to release a guide with the wrong info? I just got it for kollection purposes

At first I was really looking forward to this guide, then I saw the 'Toasty Guy' review, and upon reading all the feedback, I'm sure glad I didn't ;)

No email, going to call up and complain...may as well demand a refund to get $20 back haha.

Is 1-800-733-3000 the right number to call?

Yeah, I just checked my e-mail:

The Prima Games Team said:
The revised Mortal Kombat Character Cards are currently being processed and will start shipping on May 12th. We appreciate your business.

I have a strategy guide for every Mk game but this new one because I came to the realization that they don't help for shit. lol.. My strategy guide right now is you tube vids and the TRMK community. lol...bout the best help you can get honestly.

There's no word on Reprints whatsoever.

From my talks with folks - A reprint is 50/50 depending on what fans do. You guys need to be more vocal if that's what you want.

They could be waiting on NRS to release the DLC, then release an updated copy - which is possible as well.

The Character Evolution and Fatality Gallery will not be coming. Period.

Just got the email from Prima today. I was concerned they might not ship to the UK but they are. :)

At least now they're doing the right thing.

Due to the move list that is in the game; the one selling point of this guide (for me anyways) was the character history section. Instead, we got a dinky Mk 1-3 "history" section. And Mr. John Marcotte, you neglected to remove this info from every damn website. That's a piss-poor excuse...

As for me, I like the idea of making a new guide and giving a replacement copy to those who bought it, but I doubt they'd do that.

It's about time, for a while I thought they would just try to forget about this problem, and not having any Email communication until now had me even more discouraged. At least they are attempting to make it right.

I feel like they're singing this at Prima today lol...
