Unlocking Fatalities & Stage Fatalities????

I was wondering what is unlocked when you first load up the game and what needs to be unlocked in the crypt? I've been staying away from spoilers, but I did see some brief gameplay and it looks like the moves list has 1 fatality unlocked but there are two locked spots... I assume these are for a 2nd fatality and a stage fatality.

So is there a way to unlock these w/out the crypt cause I have friends coming over on launch night and I was really hoping to see as many fatalities and stage fatalities as possible.

I will be getting a strategy guide, so if they are listed in the guide will we be able to do them once we know the sequence or do they still have to be unlocked first.

From what I know, once you do the 2nd fatality/stage fatality, the sequence for that fatality unlocks in the moves list permanently; so I don't think you have to unlock them. I've been trying to avoid the spoilers too lol.

From what I hear, you can perform them without having them unlocked. Unlocking them merely puts them in the menu, etc.
