Unlock MK 2/3 announcer Steve Ritchie?

I like the idea of the classic sounds and announcements being unlockable, but I love the new announcer. His voice is pretty scary, and I hope Shao Kahn has the same voice. Even though the voice in his voice leak is pretty lame.
 
That would be an awesome option to get the old announcer in the Krypt. Or to even get all of the old sound effects and music (That new "DUN DUN DUN" where someone's about to pull off a fatality reminds me of MK vs DC because they used the same sound, so it pisses me off a little bit).

yea i hate that too should sound more like mk 1 or 2 that was more gritty n dark.
 
as an unlockable, that would be f***ing amazing. they should have the sound clips from when Steve recorded MK2-MK trilogy with them

I'm assuming that there is much more to Khan nowadays than there was in the old games, so they probably don't have the audio samples from back in the day to fit this game. Because of this, I think having this as an unlockable is kinda dumb. I also say that if they can make it an alternate, why not make it the default since most of us prefer him to begin with?

well i think it's the whole point of MK is to unlock things just like i wish we can have the alternate costumes from the start but looks like we will have to either unlock them or get it from DLC..
 
MK doesn't have a single "whole point" because it caters to such a broad audience.
 
It would be nice, but they already are fan-servicing us enough, with the classic music, costumes, stages and characters, so i can forgive them if they only have the new announcer, wich personally i like better than the one of the past 3 canon games ( MKDA, MKD and MKA) and of MKvsDC, that one was good, but after nearly a decade hearing him it was getting tiresome.
