Underappreciated Games

Holy SHIT!!!
Bloody Roar?
You just brought me back to 1996.
I think I still have part II from PS1.

I also loved Primal Rage and Killer Instinct.
I wish they would revive those 2 with today's technology.

Damn what happened to Bloody Roar after the 4th series? My best character, Nagi, just got her debut in that game. They need another sequel!

Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness - sure it's buggy, but it's my favorite TR Game
Resident evil Dead Aim
Dynasty Warriors series- i love every one of them
AVP 3 - the newest, i loved it

Bayonetta, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, Mortal Kombat Deception, there's some haters out there.

I totally agree. MKDA and MKD(MKD especially) are great games. Both added depth to the MK franchise whether anybody wants to admit it or not. And I am a big Castlevania fan, while I haven't played Lord of Shadows it looks amazing!

I too agree with MKDA and especially MKD... not only because they add depth to the franchise but also because they were decent fighting games.

I also agree with Minesweeper... that game is totally underrated

And I'll add FFX-2 to the discussion. People either hate it because it's a sequel to FFX and plays nothing like it, or because it's "girly," or because the story is slow. I say, the story is interesting enough if you loved FFX, the gameplay difference doesn't mean the gameplay is bad, which it isn't, and if you can't play a game just because it's girly probably means you're insecure in your sexuality. I thought FFX-2 is a great game. As good as FFX? No. But much better than people give it credit for.

I'm surprised how many of you are listing multi-platinum selling games as under appreciated. MK, T6 etc.. sold very well and continue to be played by people out there.

Don't mix forum posts with actual reception. Castlevania sticks out in particular since Konami was very satisfied with the commercial performance and there are two DLC's planned.

taofeng fist of the lotus. spawn in the demon's hand (dc) and night warriors. come on microsoft you need to add these to XLA street fighter 3: double impact. my favorite even though there's no chunli

MS can't decide for other publishers like Capcom. 3S was the main noteworthy version of SFIII and it will be out sometime down the road.. perhaps this year even.

Spawn: In the Demon's Hand was an addictive game!

yeah third strike was good but I still prefer DI it seemed like the only real street fighter 3. third strike felt more like super street fighter three. and I kind of get tired of the whole hiphop vibe didn't really fit street fighter imo. DI had an original capcom sound to it.

I was mainly taliking about the other three games I have both of the sf3s on the cps3 emulator as well as jojo's bizarre adventure and warzard. I love capcom they're the shit. the only thing that comes close is MK.

how do you know that regarding sf3? where is that info at? that would be ****in awesome!!!

For me Sonic Colors is underappreciated and underated game, have a good score, solid gameplay, not perfect but a great game, but in all the top 10 "games of the year 2010" never apears.

MKDA wasn't too bad. It just lacked a lot. MKD was pretty good. And FFX-2... that is my favorite RPG especially because it was the first RPG I ever beat by myself. Usually when I used to play RPG games, I'd take turns with my brother when choosing characters. I often play as the females. Those RPG games include FFX and Grandia 2.

In my opinion the most underrated game of the yester year award goes to Just Cause 2. There is just too much going on for this game for it to go unnoticed like it did.

I thought that Blitz The League II was very good, despite people giving it low scores on IGN and Gamespy.

It's the first game I thought of when I first saw MK9's X-Ray moves.

Am I the only one that thought NRS borrowed this idea from Blitz The League II's internal injuries???

Deadliest Warrior!!! The game is just so damn addicting, AND its only 5$ on the xbl marketplace and psn, ALSO, the new dlc is coming out soon :)

I might get this game for PSN. Also, I'd want to try Tao Feng: Fist of the Lotus but I don't have an Xbox.

Its strange, alot of my all time favorites are underappreciated heres the 3 I think got the worst rap-
1.) Land of the Dead Road to Fiddler's green Xbox (2005) this game got multiple 5 and 6 ratings, but I got it the night it came out and I found it to be a fantastic game, mabey because I'm a serious George A Romero fan, but the game plays just like a Romero movie, even the music and sound fx are classic Romero, and the graphics are pretty impressive. The enemies are a bit repetitive, but hey its the Zombie apocalypse right?

2.) Killing Time 3DO (1995) another one of my all time favorites that no one else knows about, this FPS is lots of fun with a scary but fun atmosphere I just loved everything about it, lots of different enemies ranging from Zombie duck hunters to ghostly house maids to giant beetles. The music is another strong plus for this game, with a mix of eerie music to crazy carnie tunes, it meshes well with the game and creates a great experience, I pray one day either the 3DO or PC version ends up on PSN or XBLN

Silent Hill V Homecoming PS3 (2009) Alot of Silent Hill fans think this game was horrble, I on the contrary find this the best installment since Silent Hill 2. It has a creepy story, though slow in the very begining, I thought it paced well throughout the rest of the game. The music, and overall atmosphere matched up with the first 2 games well with lots of creepy, ominous locals and strange characters to encounter(theres one boss thats a 15 foot tall porcelain doll whos image haunts me till' this day!) and I just thought it was a solid story/play overall.
