Under The Radar Music

This is a thread for bands and artists, signed and unsigned, old and new.
That may have been overlooked by the mainstream or are on the rise to becoming more well known.
This is just a way to spread the word about some bands that you enjoy and would like others to check out.

My first pick is a band I just recently got into. They are called Woe Is Me
They blend really agressive metal, hardcore breakdowns and ear catching melodies to create some amazing music.

My 2nd pick is one of my favorite bands. I've had the pleasure of seeing them live countless times.
Dog Fashion Disco
Blend Metal, Funk, Jazz, Hardcore and countless other genres to make something truly unique.
A lot of people compare them to Mr. Bungle but they were around first. And this bands members continue creating great music in countless side projects.

My third pick is a side project featuring members of Dog Fashion Disco. Influenced more by techno, dance, punk and metal.
Polkadot Cadaver
Are a band that isn't afraid to try new things. Going from 1950's style ballads, to spazzed out dance metal and back across a wide range of genres. Yet somehow tying everything together with a signature sound.

I didn't think DFD was really all that under the radar.

I saw them 10 years ago open for MSI and Deadsy (Best line up ever). And I was standing in line for a limeted edition copy of Anarchists of Good Taste and shirt that said "Don't fall asleep or we will mutilate your genitals"...I was $2 short and I joked to the person behind me that I did not have enough money. He just pulls out $20 and gives it to the merch dude then signs the shirt and cd. It was the bassist for DFD. It was such a great memory.

DFD probably has the best lyrics of any band. Period.

Polkadot is amazing too..Sex Offender had to grow on me a bit but I love it now.

That sounds like a bad ass show! I love Deadsy and MSI. But I don't know a lot of people that are into DFD or PC. I've seen DFD 5 or 6 times. Twice at this small club in Johnson City,TN called Rafters. Both of those shows there were maybe 40 people so me and my brother Boo got to talk to the guitarist and singer for a little bit. But the best shows they did were at The Sophisticated Otter they came twice when they were touring for "Commited to a bright future" and once when they were touring for "Adultery". They're ****ing awesome live!

Yessir, DFD, Deadsy, and MSI...It was the best line up I have ever seen. You like Tub Ring at all? They are brilliant. More schizo music.

I think I am going to fly out to LA in December to go see Polkadot. Looks like there were no shows in Minneapolis or I must have missed it?

I'm guessing these guys are under the radar, as I have only heard them when my dad plays them on his cd player, but I'm going with The Gaslight Anthem.
