unable to play with freinds?

So.. I remember something about the game being region locked to some degree for online play.

but apparently I can't have a private match with my friend.. this is way to far.. I get the use of region only for matchmaking, and rooms but deciding to not let me play whoever I want to privately is ********

Ive heard stories of people playing with friends from other countries... I thought the region lock was false info according to Ed himself. If your having trouble playing with friends, it might be something else... maybe has something to do with all the trouble others are having with online.
