I'm rolling it around in my mind, I'm 90 per cent sure that it will be region free on xbox but I don't want to drop money on it if its not, otherwise I'll just have an expensive pair of bookends. Game sent me some emails this morning, one was in reply to a formal complaint I lodged asking for my order number, the other arrived 80 mins later telling me that my order was still active and on pre-order. I'm hoping this means that I've guilted them into shipping it to Ireland. In my reply to the order number request I said I wouldn't mind paying a slightly higher shipping cost in order to get it. Mine is a birthday present and I told them about it, heres hoping Customer Service has a heart!
GAME and Gamestation are owned by the same parent company/group I believe, they have the exact same pricing and shipping policies from what I have seen.
Edit: Just after I wrote this post I checked email, got this:
Hi,
Thank you for your email.
I have checked the status of your order and I can confirm that it has been rejected.
Due to shipping restrictions we’re unable to ship hardware or large items outside of the United Kingdom, this has resulted in your order being rejected.
When an order is rejected it is automatically cancelled by the system, because of this no payment has been taken, however, your card issuer may have preauthorised you for this order. What this means is that your card issuer is holding the funds until we take payment, as your order has now been rejected and cancelled no payment will be taken and the funds will become available to you after a predetermined time that is set by your card issuer.
I hope this information helps and I apologise for any disappointment.
Regards,

Well, they can shove their apology! I suppose I was wrong to even think that I would get some sort of compassion or even a proper reply from a Customer Service rep.
