Toasty?

Ok so I have the classic scorpion and I have been doing toasty all the time and I still can't get Dan Forden to pop after like in mk 2 (I think lol)

so
How do I get forded to pop after the toasty fatality like in mk 2?
 
I THINK, can't confirm, but he's popped up for me twice, to get him you have to interrupt an opponent who is mid-comboing you, WITHOUT using a breaker.

As I say, can't confirm that's how it's done, but I CAN confirm he's in the game.

Seriously, pissed my sides when he popped up.
 
if i remember correctly you get your opponent with a "good" uppercut like it was in MKII but to be honest i do not remember exactly how but i think that's what it was

As for the fatality, Dan wont say Toasty after it.. which makes me sad. Same thing goes for reptiles klassic fatality.. no tummy rub or "mmmmmm"?? makes me go 'awww'

^^ Yeah! Most of the times he pops up when an opponent jumps at you with a flying kick/punch and you welcome him/her with an uppercut. At least for me, that is when he pops up mostly.

As for MKII, I don't remember him popping up in Scorpion fatality. On the screen it said TOASTY!! and you could hear it as well, but he didn't show himself. If I remember correctly in MKII, you had to press D,D,U,U,HP to get the toasty, if you only pressed U,U,HP you didn't get it.
 
I've had it happen to me during an uppercut, but it sounds like Tektile may be on the right track. It wouldn't be just completely random.
 
Even if it just said toasty during the toasty fatality would be cool. Sounds like an easy fix in a patch, but will it be added? Hmmmm.....
