Thief: All Things Thief related

Dishonored was the only game like this I actually liked so I will give thief the credit because they laid the platform for bio shock and other games like this to advance but this game is just not making me jump out of my seat to get it. Like I said I will rent it
 
Agreed.

If anything BioShock and Thief were 2 of the influences for Dishonored (since some of the people who worked on both games also worked on Dishonored), but Thief and BioShock are 2 totally different and unrelated experiences.
 
Laid the platform for BioShock??? Dude, BioShock and thief are nothing alike.

That's where you are wrong, platform = foundation meaning environmental coding. Maybe because I'm looking at it on a coder lvl. The artwork and "skin" is heavily modified but the dynamics of that game is the same.
 
If we're going to get technical, Thief laid the foundation for Dishonored and not BioShock, considering that some of the people that also worked on the original Thief titles also worked on Dishonored.
As far as level design goes, Dishonored has the level design of Half-Life 2, given that Viktor Antonov did the level design for City 17 and did the level design for Dishonored's Dunwall.
 
Anyone know the depth of side miasions. I hope they are better/more in number than say AC assassination contracts. Anyone know how 'open world' it is compared to AC. Dishonored had A LOT of cinematics and story line so Im not comparing it to that. Cant wait for the 25th!!!

I think the game has a larger hub than Corvo's hideout. And I believe the missions may be the same size if not larger.
