Do you think it will be an arena in the game? In MK9 CGI trailers like this one, they had different characters fight in arenas that were in the game.

Sure, it is a bit of a simplistic arena but it has a great atmosphere + plus it would be awesome if you could use those tree branches as weapons (hopefully different characters could use them in different ways). Also, it would be nice to have a forest arena since living forest is probably not going to reappear given the fact it was in the last game.
 
they didn't put all that crap in there for nothing. i'd bet on all of that being in the game. there's a chance that video was captured in game.
 
If this really is a more dark 'n gritty (today's 'in thing') MK as the trailer makes it out to be then I can see this being one of the arenas.

Its been confirmed that the trailer included no in game footage.
 
Call it "the Lin Kuei Forest", let it be as dark as it was in trailer (the whole game should be), let the snow fall from the sky, put some frozen lin kuei ninja standing far in background (Frost or Cyber Sub), let players use tree brunches and put a usable ice sword in center. Done.
 
I thought it was awesome how sub-zero absorbed the ice around him. If they could incorporate little details like that into the game, that would be SO dope

That's not what was said. The trailer has no in-game footage, yes... But the arena may appear in the game. Just as the arenas in MK9's trailer showed up in that game.
 
Yeah no problem. I think a better way to put that is none of the trailer was in-engine, but there were elements of gameplay in there.
 
BEAUTIFUL stage. I love simplistic stages and this one appears to be in a league of it's own.
Haven't been this excited for a stage since I first laid eyes on Shang Tsung's Garden.
