Modern day...
A lone man stands on the tallest rooftop in one of the biggest metropolitan cities in the world, Tokyo. Then sun as already set in front of him as he watches the people down below. The city lit up the moment the sun went down, like the entire civilization was on a timer. He takes in a deep breath as he sees the lights come alive.

The man wears a white trench coat with a hood covering his face. he has a black mask covering his face where the shadow of the hood stops. He has the symbol of his clan in black on the back of his coat. The coat isn't tied, so his black jeans and yellow t-shirt is visible. He also has two yellow arm-bands, one on each arm.

"Hanzo, I knew I would find you here!" The man watching over the crowd quickly turned to face the one who was talking to him. The other man wore a coat similar to his, but his coat was black. He wore white jeans and an ice-blue t-shirt. He did not have a mask covering his face and his hood was down. Hanzo could clearly make out the white hair with the blue streaks, and the eerie smile. "You are really getting bad at not being noticed, is that any way for a true adversary such as yourself to act?" Hanzo did not move a muscle as he stared him down.

"Bi-Han, what a surprise. I thought after your last defeat, you wouldn't come out of hiding until your pathetic faction was disbanded." Bi-Han started laughing into the darkness.

"You really are a fool! Just because you have some ancient ancestors that apposed us, doesn't mean you couldn't join us!" Hanzo shook his head.

"Abstergo already failed, what makes you so sure the Templars here will succeed?" This aggravated him. Bi-Han drew a dagger from his coat and pointed it at Hanzo.

"Well, how about we settle this now, Assassin?" Hanzo smiled under his mask. The tension was growing between them as Bi-Han waited for his answer.

"You will have to catch me first." Hanzo quietly said. He turned away from Bi-Han and ran for the edge of the roof. He jumped off the side, facing the crowded streets below.

Assassins were outfitted with special equipment for operations in large cities such as New York or Tokyo. The trench coats would be tied to the wearer's legs. At the click of a button, the coat would extend it's wing-suit parameters in between the arms and torso. The material at the foot of the coat would help even out the decent. It was a remarkable idea and feat the Assassins easily grasped to help their missions.

As Hanzo jumped off the roof, he could hear Bi-Han shouting and cursing at him. He extended his arms as he activated his wing-suit. The city wind caught his coat as he glided harmlessly through the concrete jungle. He flew all the way down the street, directly to the three-way intersection of the street. He de-activated the suit, rolling onto the concrete when there was an opening in the crowd. He stood up, looking back at the building he just jumped from. He knew it wouldn't be long before Bi-Han showed up with more templars. Hanzo turned and followed the crowd of people that surrounded him. He seamlessly blended into the group as he heard sirens. The citizens flooded onto the side-walk as police cars started crowding the streets. Hanzo turned and watched the leader climb out of his patrol car. He was American, one of the top Templars brought over from the United States; Kurtis Stryker. The Templars had some kind of foot-hold everywhere, even in law enforcement. Bi-Han also climbed out of the car with him, scanning the crowd. Stryker held up a mega-phone.

"Hanzo Hashashi, step out and come with us. You're under arrest for several counts of murder and fraud." The crowd literally ignored him as they kept moving about. Japanese police officers started searching the crowd. Hanzo kept making his way down the street. He heard heavier footsteps behind him. Suddenly, the man next to him was grabbed by Stryker himself. Hanzo kept calm as Stryker questioned the civilian. An open window caught Hanzo's eye. He looked up to see a figure standing in the shadows of a building's interior in front of him. He nodded at the figure as he passed by the window. The figure acted on Hanzo's signal. Some bombs were tossed out of the window all around Hanzo. The exploded with loud bangs and smoke started filling the street. In the sudden chaos, Hanzo made his way to the alleyway next to the building his ally was hiding in. He started climbing up the fire escape until his reached the roof-top. He was surprised to see his ally already waiting at the top for him.

"Tomas, it's could to see you." Hanzo said, looking at the other Assassin. His coat was similar to Hanzo's, except it was pure silver. Tomas turned to face Hanzo and shook his hand. He was wearing a gray mask over his face but Hanzo could make out the silver, wavy hair.

"The pleasure is mine, Mentor." Hanzo shook his head, laughing.

"Just because I'm the master, doesn't mean we're not friends, Tomas. Just call me Hanzo." Tomas nodded.

"Whatever you say, Hanzo." Hanzo laughed again as he told him what has happened.

"Looks like your old friend Bi-Han is still around." Tomas looked at him, confused.

"Bi-Han? Surely Kuai Liang wasn't stupid enough to confront you."

"I beg to differ, traitor." Hanzo and Tomas spun around to see a man identical to Bi-Han standing on the other end of the building. He looked exactly Bi-Han except for the blue mask. Hanzo and Tomas readied themselves for a fight. "Leaving Abstergo wasn't your smartest choice, Tomas. You simply can't leave without repercussions."

Wow it seems like all these great fanfics on here leave a cliffhanger to it's story  Nice update, off to read your other story.

Tomas used to be a high ranking member of the Templar order. He always followed their strict orders, hunting down and killing whoever they deemed necessary. It was actually the Grand Master that turned him from his clouded ways. Tomas was literally seconds from killing the head Assassin in Tokyo.....

"Agent Smoke to HQ, I am directly outside the Assassin head quarters. Do you want me to proceed inside and carry on with the mission?" Smoke was standing on the rooftop of the building across the street of the designated target's dwelling. The building was a normal office building, but recent recon has revealed an increased number of men in hoods making entrances and exits all through the day.
"Hold Agent, not right now. We're sending reinforcements to help you storm the building." Smoke was getting agitated with Bi-Han's need to make everything into a big deal.
"I can slip inside and kill him, then get out before anyone even knows I'm there." Smoke responded. There was a moment of silence.
"Negatory, Agent. Hold tight while we send you reinforcements." Smoke shook his head, taking off the headset.
"You doubt me to much. If you weren't my friend's brother," He threw the headset to the ground, "I wouldn't give two sh**s about your orders." Smoke walked over to the other side of the building's rooftop he was standing on. He took a deep breath, then started sprinting for the building across the street. He stepped off the building's ledge an soared through the air. He tucked his shoulder as he crashed through the glass. He rolled onto the ground and picked himself up, looking around. He brushed the glass off as office working civilians got up from their desks. He grabbed the nearest person by the shirt collar.
"Please, don't hurt me!"
"Assassins. Tell me where they are!" Smoke demanded.
"What are you talking about? Who are you?" Smoke sneered at the man and threw him to the ground. How could he expect a bunch of civilians to know about a secret organization? He headed to the stairwell and started descending. Once he reached the first floor, the door burst open in front of him. Two police guards were aiming their pistols at him. Smoke just laughed. He sprinted at the men and close-lined both of them before they had a chance to fire. They dropped as he caught their weapons in mid-air. He stepped into the lobby, looking around at the crowd. He approached the front desk.
"Alright, I'm done playing games, where's the basement?" He demanded, pointing one of the pistols at the desk manager. He held his hands up and nodded to the door at Smoke's left. He nodded. He turned to notice that the floor above him had a balcony that opened to the rest of the floors. He walked to the middle of the lobby, heading towards the basement door. "Of course." Suddenly, a dozen men in white hoods jumped down around Smoke, holding an assortment of katanas and daggers. Smoke looked around and started laughing. "About time you guys were going to show up, I was starting to get bored." He dropped the pistols as all of them charge him at once. He pulled out his own two daggers as he blocked and countered all the attacks that were thrown at him. He side-stepped a sword attack, kicking the assassin away. He held out his daggers as the group started circling him. He smiled under his mask, stashing his weapons. He suddenly pulled two Smoke bombs from his coat. He tossed them at his sides, turned, and tossed two more. As the group started coughing from the diversion, Smoke ran and vaulted over the assassin in the way of the basement entrance. He quickly slipped inside the door and locked it behind him. He quickly slipped into cover behind a row of book shelves when the blinding white lights switched on. He peeked around to see two more guards at the other end of the room. The room was circular, branching off at two sides in the middle with the leader's room guarded at the other end. There was also an assortment of computers and other computer supplies in the middle of the circular opening. Smoke began to creep along the darker side of the bookshelves. He rummaged in his coat as he got closer to the two at the door. He pulled out a bomb with a fuse. He pulled out a lighter and set the fuse ablaze. He went to the other side of the book case. He tossed the bomb behind the bookshelves on the other side. There was a loud "BANG" and the two guards immediately noticed. They headed over to the sound as Smoke quickly slipped inside the next room. This one was even brighter than the next. He actually had to shield his eyes. He moved his arm down to see a man sitting at a computer terminal. He spun around in the chair and stared at Smoke.
"I assume you're Templar agent sent to kill me," the man said. Smoke nodded, pulling out one of his daggers.
"You people don't understand what you're doing." Smoke told him.
"Do we now?" He stood up. "You're saying we're bad because we're helping people live by their own lives, not controlled by your corporation?" Smoke grabbed him and pinned him to the wall. He pushed the dagger onto the leader's throat.
"You can only keep civility through order! Through control!"
"Look where that got you. You people would led the end of the world happen just so you can control the minds of men. What kind of leaders would let their own civilians get killed? Desmond Miles and the others overthrew your Italian set up, the others are crumbling down with them." Smoke stared at him for a second. The leader noticed that Smoke did not have a head set. "You have great abilities, use them for the right purpose." Suddenly, Smoke heard the click of a gun's safety right next to his head. He didn't hear the door open.
"You're trying to trick me, to get me to turn on Abstergo!"
"Boy, Abstergo is lost. I'm offering you a spot in our Creed for the good of your own health." Smoke looked from the gun and back to the Assassin leader. He started thinking about his words. Kua-Liang would kill him for joining with the Assassins. But everything he said was true. Smoke back away from the Assassin leader, sheathing his dagger. He finally saw the Assassin who pointed the gun at him. He was wearing a white coat with yellow lining on the inside. He turned back to his new leader.
"Alright, you have made your point. I'll fight for you."
