Keep In Mind, **SPOILER FREE**; we don't want to ruin anything for anyone.

I haven't actually beaten the game yet but I am very close and although I haven't seen the credits yet I really think that NRS has really out done themselves.

I just want to thank NRS for trying, and exceeding in creating the best Mortal Kombat since the golden age of MK.

Without Spoiling ANYTHING, how do you feel about the Story Mode.
 
It was the first thing i did wen i played it luv it nice way they retell the story loooonnnnnng thank u NRS it was Epic for me.
 
I'm on the Liu Kang chapter in the first MK tournament part of the story... so far the whole thing is friggin cool!!! I did not play any of the 3D MK's (but I did read about the storyline) so this is my first every story driven MK and it's pretty cool. The cut-scene graphics are really lacking in many areas, but I still applaud NRS because they still took the time to make it very deep considering the entire game is built around a fighting engine. Overall I give them a solid A right now and I anticipate it being an A+ once I go from start to finish!!!
 
Other then a few cheesy lines and some scenes where the voice acting was weak, I really dug the story of this game. There were some comedic lines that actually made me laugh and the cut scenes flowed really well leading up to each fight. Most of all, I loved how the story ended and the way the ending was done. Can't wait to see what they do with the next game.
 
The story mode is incredible! They really did a good job with rehashing a lot of the characters backstories which we used to have to dream about back in the day when it was only text based. I am particularly impressed with how well they gave life to Shao Kahn, Raiden, and even Liu Kang(who I actually used to hate but, now appreciate his character in this game). Oh and let me tell you I beat it yesterday and the ending is brilliant! Expect another great sequel on the way!
 
Im almost finished with it. My girlfriend made me turn it off so she could vacuum, and the anticipation is actually killing me! I never would have thought in a million years a MK storyline would keep me on the edge of my seat like this one. Thanks NRS. You guys deserve every penny you get from this one!
 
Story mode for MK9 is indeed awesome, but don't forget about Shaolin Monks which was pretty deep and entertaining itself :marchmellow:
 
Im LOVING the story mode so far omg. My first mortal kombat was trilogy for the n64. so i never knew the story of the first ones that much. AHHH its so epic.
