I'm talking about the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica. It's way different from the original 70's BSG, and IMO the best show on television right now.
Battlestar Galactica is a show about the last (about 40,000) survivors of the human race searching for the fabled planet earth. Basically, the robotic Cylons rebelled against humanity and nuked the twelve planets they lived on to hell. The last remaining Battlestar (A big bad warship named Galactica) leads a ratag fleet of humans in search of Earth. But the Cylons, who now look human, chase the fleet. There are twelve Cylon models, but only 11 have been revealed. And the whole Future/Past thing is up to debate. Are they the forefathers of our civilization? Do they exist in our future? Is the whole thing taking place in an alternate universe from our own? No one knows any of that yet.
It airs on the Sci-Fi channel, and the last ten episodes of the fourth (And Final) season start airing in January. If you want to start watching it I reccomend renting the miniseries and watching that.
Oh, and the chicks are way hot. Even the 56 year old Laura Roslin gets me excited, in ways that confuse me.
