The CW Developing The Flash as a Spinoff of Arrow

While this is great news I'm getting really sick of WB not taking risks. Like they need a show to see if the character is popular enough before they make movie? Marvel is rolling out movies of heroes we don't even know about, yet flash is relatively known to the general population and they need to build interest first? This is directly related to MK Legacy, 3 seasons confirmed, then a movie is supposed to be in production, but knowing WB they're gonna say "oh wait, TV series first".

i think a tv series is the best way to start honestly to see if they can even gain a non comic fanbase

its actually cheaper to do a tv show instead of movie if you think about it

i have an idea for an aquaman movie ( even though i never read him) but i think instead of a costume they can make the costume more like his skin. i like the idea of bringing some form of fantasy into it

I thought I read somewhere that DC were going to make Arrow be the canon for Green Arrow in the new continuity and that means he wouldn't get his own movie, just be a part of others that make sense like Justice League. Maybe that's what they'll do with Flash too. Maybe their concept for how to tell his story is too involved to be a single movie.

TAZZMISSION I would be interested to hear your Aquaman movie idea

make it a fantasy type film where the atlantians are more of a species instead of just people in colorful costumes.

have there skin be there costume .

set the movie completey underwater

introduce black manta not in a chessey getup but his own look like from another species that are or were apart f this under water world.

dont make it a orgin story but show arthur as an adult and have him become king of atlantis

Season 1 of Arrow was great, and now we could possibly get Black Canary and The Flash in season 2 of Arrow?
I'M SOLD.

I can't wait for season 2 of Arrow.

well canary is in if you saw the trailer. also michael jai white ( spawn , black dynamite) is cast as bronze tiger and they got summer glau in as well

I didn't see the trailer for it, and I still have to finish watching the last 3 episodes of season 1 that I recorded.

Wouldn't it be easier/better to have ocean master be the villain? Then it's pretty much just all about a power struggle for the throne and you wouldn't have to change black manta so much.

Hopefully having the Flash in the show means that powers will start being shown. I really wouldn't be happy if Black Canary didn't have her canary cry.

.

i never read aquaman so im not very well versed in regards to his rouges gallery

i do have a storm watch movie idea involving mmh though :)

this news make me question if they will go with that amazon show ( wonder woman)

if they do i have to take my hat off to dc because finally there doing something instead of just milking batman and superman

Ocean Master is Aquaman's half brother. While Aquaman is half human and was raised on land as a human, Ocean Master is fully Atlantean and was raised underwater as a prince.

I do wonder if we'll see a Stormwatch movie or show to compete with Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel's cosmic property.

I think that DC using tv instead of movies could be a very smart idea. That way, by the time we see them in Justice League we will have seen a whole season of adventures with the characters. We will know them quite well. We will have had more time to get to know them and care about who they are.

true also they could do what nrs did and do a webisode series as well i mean hey it worked for mk so

Yeah. For the 1st Aquaman movie, it should definitely be between him and Ocean Master.....And in the 2nd movie, it will not only against Black Manta, but also the struggle within himself because he's half-human and half-Atlantean. As he rules Atlantis with love and care, he also questions himself about the land he was raised, like should he be defending the surface world after seeing and failing to protect some rare sea creatures from poachers or ignore their plea and rule the kingdom with just and care for his Atlantean people.

Also can't wait to watch the 2nd season of Arrow. It's gonna get interesting. Hopefully we see more of Deathstroke, Deadshot, China White. And also the debut appearance of Brick, and hopefully see The Count recover from his catatonic state.

i still want the wonder woman tv show titled amazon

im a big fan of sons of anarchy and i think maggie siff would be great for the part

shes also on mad men

Is that half human, half Atlantean inner struggle in a comic or something. I always remembered that Aquaman was always like, "Fvck you Atlantis > Land"

If there was an Aquaman movie I really hope they get his origins right. He broke out of prison and became king AND still wears the prison garbs

Well, knowing the productions and direction from the director, it might take the direction that I mention above. Depending on which incarnation they'll take it from or original, he may have something with either loving both his subjects and loving wife in Atlantis, while protecting humanity in his adopted land. Or he'll do his renegade move and attack any fishermen or poachers that try to capture any sea creatures that he'll adore while protecting his loved ones from dangers.

New Details On What Brings THE FLASH To ARROW

Barry Allen will first appear in episodes eight and nine of Arrow before returning in episode 20 for what has been described as a backdoor pilot for his own series. But what brings the character to Starling City in the first place? TV Line has the answer. "I’ve got fresh intel on exactly what brings Central City PD CSI Barry Allen to Oliver’s orbit. The would-be speedster travels (not by foot, I assume) to Starling City while investigating a series of brutal slayings that he believes may have a connection to his mother’s years-ago murder — a crime for which his father has been unjustly imprisoned." That's obviously extremely faithful to the comic book version of Barry Allen and the investigation could serve as a basis for The Flash's television series.
