Suddenly, glitches!

So, get this. My friend and I started playing MK today. I went to choose Scorpion, but I couldn't see his MK1 attire. My friend chose Sub-Zero and on his screen, he had the normal alternate. On MY screen, he was wearing MK1. He hasn't purchased Klassic Pack 1 or pre-ordered from Best-Buy. I pre-ordered from Gamestop and got Scorpion. Plus on top of that, I still have the mysterious "free Skarlet" with my compatibility pack. After that we kept getting errors and the game kept getting desynchronized. I wanted to know if anyone has this problem or knows a solution.

I've never heard of the glitch your mentioning although it doesn't really come as a huge suprise considering the issues that keep coming up.

NOTE: The game will most likely de-sync if your using alternate or classic costumes that your opponent hasn't unlocked themselves. I've had many fights since the new patch and the only time it disconnects is when someone wants to play with the palette swaps :\

with the latest patch for mortal kombat, it seems there has been some undetected issues that have arisen to deal with compatability. I wonder, as the new patch will have had something to set up the dlc and need for a compatability packs in order for dlc to work online,if this has caused some weird compatability error.
