Subzero (the one from MK1) and Shao Khan

These 2 are kinda similar in terms of attitude. Subzeros blue ninja outfit alone speaks for itself and then you have Shao Kahn's callousness.

Sure a lot of characters on here might've been cold and ruthless but subzero and shao Kahn's cold behavior stood out a lot more than any other character in MK (IMO at least)

I've always fantasized about these 2 associating with one another and turning on one another from time to time.
 
I don't really see how the two are anything alike. The older Sub-Zero was much more of a neutral figure, like Scorpion; he even has a bit of depth as a character. Kahn is pretty much just your stereotypical evil ruler in black and white.

Sub-Zero reborn as Noob, on the the other hand, is quite a bit closer.
 
It's not so much of them being good, evil, neutral or whatever. I was talking more along the lines of their attitude. They have this icy cold vibe they exude and as a kid I've always seen them as being the rudest and coldest characters for whatever reason, I guess that's just me. Anyhoo I just felt like sharing because these are two of my favorite characters.

That's why I always wish that this Sub-zero was in MKII instead of his younger brother
 
I wouldn't say Elder Sub-Zero and Shao Kahn are all that alike in terms of personality, either

The only thing they have in common is how ruthless they both are

Shao Kahn is a lot more bloodthirsty and savage than Sub-Zero is

Sub-Zero isn't power-hungry or manipulative either like Kahn
