[SPOILERS] Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith...

I thought it was good. I am not a huge Star Wars fan ( although I do like the original ones better) but I was interested in how Anakin became Darth Vader.

Palpatine was playing possom to win Anakin over to the darkside. This is evident when we see he has plenty power left to finish of Windu.

Well thats how I saw it anyway. :D

I disagree with this theory as do a lot of people. I've watched the movie twice and paid special attention to this battle. You will notice that when Palpatine gets the jump, killing 3 of Windu's accomplices (including Kit Fisto which is stupid considering he is a master and wouldn't have died so quickly) and he at first gets the jump on Windu. He even backs Windu up with his saber pointed at Windu's chest ...

However. Windu counters this and they lock sabers. You then see Windu glare at him very fiercly - the fight is over. After this Palpatine is on the retreat flailing his saber around while Windu is going forward at full force, easily besting him with the saber. Windu easily disarms him, fight over.

Yoda also manages to equal out with Palpatine - although he doesn't fare as well as Windu. If you go back to Episode II, Anakin makes a reference to Windu being the best swordsman of all the current Jedi.

Also, in the comics, it's safe to assume Windu is the best swordsman of the Jedi as he never gets bested and defeats many enemies who are supposed to be "elite" in Jedi training. He takes the best of the best.

I don't think Palpatine is all that powerful. He is strong in the force - as he shows by easily tossing the Senator seats at Yoda and using lightning pretty sparingly, but I don't belief his saber skills are as good as some people. Just because he is the Emperor of a Galaxy does not mean he is the most powerful force user. He even states himself Vader would be greater than he is.

Well anyways Darth Maul is the most powerful Sith. They should bring him back alive or as a spirit or something. Kinda like how they bring back dead people in the Mortal Kombat series...

Now, that could be interesting. They could have him running around, kicking the hell out of the other Jedi spirits. I mean...seriously, would you not LOVE to see some guy about three times Yoda's height beating him with a duel-lightsaber? God knows I would :D

(And no, Maul wasn't the most powerful sith. If he was, he wouldn't have gotten slaughtered)

Actually the most powerful ever is Luke Skywalker. He made Anakin look like a scrub in the end.

In Episode VI when Luke had the chance to kill Sidius with his Lightsaber, but Anakin prevented it...

I'm surprised that Anakin did not let his son kill Sidius. If he did, Anakin would have become the Emporer with his son as the apprentice. How's that for a plot twist...

I was disapointed with Ep1 & 2. But Ep III,....Damn it was good. I loved every second of it. Some critisize the acting but you must admit that there is a Major improvement here.
Darth Sidious stole the show and he just made it to my "best villains of all time list" lol.
In a way, I was so happy to see all those jedi get killed, they are so tight up their ass that they don't care about anything else than the Republic and keeping the Peace. Natural that Anakin gets frustrated, no one pays attention to him, to his problems, fears and frustrations. he is talented, the chosen one but no one gives a damn. Maybe Obi wan but he doesn't even know how to Show affection. Palpatine listens to anakin and became his confident and friend, even if he tricks him to the dark side.
That is why Luke is great because he didn't get affected by the Jedi order and their crappy rules. He got his good buddy han that will fly the whole galaxy to save his butt vice versa.
We all know that Anakin turns into the dark side but I wanted Anakin to stay in the light side. I would have prefered Anakin to kill Obi Wan instead lol.
Imo, Ep III is the best or the Second best (ESB) of the whole 6 movies.

All of the Jedi and the Sith get their asses handed to them at some point. Especially Anakin/Vader who has an incredible 3 losses on his record.

The reason for Anakin's fall to the dark side, is that Sidious took the non-agreesive path in which Mace took the agreesive path, which resulted in Anakin cutting off Windu's hand and resulted in Windu's demise.

In ROTJ, Luke took the non-agreesive path against Sidious and of course Sidious took the agreesive path which resulted Anakin's return to the light side and thus Anakin threw sidious off death star.

nope, The "main" Reason anakin took the dark side is because he had the premonition that Padme will die and Palpatine/Sidious told anakin that the power of the darkside could bring her back to life.
