Speculation on the release date, before april 2015?

For those who want to wait to see special editions before they pre order, just put down $25 or more down on the game at Gamestop. Then if a special edition is announced just call them and they will switch it. I remember the Tournament editions sold out within a week at my local gamestop which is huge because its a small store in a small area

I'm not putting jack shit down at GameStop until I know what all (if any) of the preorder bonuses are.
F*** those assholes.
Last time I paid off my MK9 preorder before the preorder bonuses were even announced, and those douchebags refused to give me my money back.
I don't care for their garbage "store credit."
I was stuck with that order, and that shit's not happening again.

As for the release date, it's probably going to be in the mid-April 2015 range, given that NRS released Injustice and MK9 around that same time frame.
 
Rumour says that MKX has a planned target release date as March 2015 for digital release (?).

Reports are circulating this as following: gaming news site Cyberland has reported that the PR officer for Netherrealm Studios has confirmed that the Mortal Kombat X release date has been tentatively set for March 2015 on digital download.

Problem is I can't find any kind of 'Cyberland game site' with the supposedly original report. Steve Beran said something at E3 like they were ahead of schedule at that time. If the E3 build was in the works since January and what we've seen was the result of their efforts from January to May, then they have twice as much time from June 2014 to the end of March 2015. So maybe an April release is possible if everything goes as planned.

As per previous entries and NRS game release schedules (MK9 and Injustice), I'm still going to stand with the mid-April 2015 release date.
 
I've heard on ED BOON'S interview that Mortal Kombat X is coming at the beginning of January 2015,I've heard from a reliable source that Mortal Kombat X have been in development for
2 years since Mortal Kombat 9(2011)came out.

You have certainly misunderstood something: Ed Boon has never said anything like January or a certain month. He said multiple times that they couldn't give a month yet. He said that it would be after the 1st of January 2015 and before the 31st December 2015. And yesterday he tweeted that 12/31/2015 is not the real release date, it's just a placeholder. And he also said that MKX has been in development paralelly with Injustice. NRS started hiring developers for next gen in 2012, so maybe they started working on it late 2012 at the earliest but I highly doubt it that they could really focus on it during the development of Injustice.

So January is something we all would like to be true but it's unrealistic. I really hope that at least during Tokyo Game Show (where Injustice got its release month) they will give us a narrowed down release date because rumours will drive us crazy soon.

Ed never said that in any of the interviews, and I've watched all of them about 4 or 5 times.
You have no credible source, and your link is broken.
 
I'm guessing he's talking about the Gamestop TV interview with Geoff Keighley that is playing on repeat at GameStop. I watched it once when I was in the store the other day. He likely mis-heard the date, as it's date is to be released AFTER January 2015 but before December 2015.

I personally would bet on Spring going by the last two games, but it's possible it may get another date. At this point all date talk is speculative because of how much work they have yet to do. I'd wager the announcement wont be made for the date until January 2015, which is when we got the MK9 and Injustice dates if my memory serves.

It was in January when we got the exact date of Injustice. But MK9 has March as a tentative release month right at the beginning (which became April later) and NRS announced April 2013 as a release month for Injustice at the Tokyo Game Show in September 2012.

They're not obliged to do the same this time but a narrowed down time frame would be nice.
 
It may come out in spring, as well as MK9 and Injustice did, but..

..I personally give them all my support to use all time that necessary. I don't complain if the game is released in Q4 of 2014, as long as game and the most importantly, netcode (ON ALL VERSIONS) is good.
 
I saw on the WBGames website confirming that Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 28,2015. I don't buy it"DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE" you,me & all the Mortal Kombat fans & fanatics know that Mortal Kombat X will be released before the Spring in 2015.

Basically I would agree with you. I would - but not after the 2014 June announcement and the instantly avaliable pre-order. Taking our money right from the start but teasing people more than a year long - it would be a complete mind****. Yes, variation is a good thing with a lot of work - but it's not my problem. After seeing that they re-use existing character models (Bane->Ferra/Torr, Raven->D'Vorah) and move sets (Torr has Bane's bull-charge and the uppercut from his Super Move in his X-Ray, Cassie has the move set of Sonya and Johnny Cage plus Luthor's missile specials, Kotal has Kano's Fatality with a little tweak, etc.) it would be disappointing to see a late release in 2015.
