I'd prefer them to be much more selective on who they bring back from MK9. Everybody who died in MK9 should stay dead. Liu Kang has a legit shot at coming back, I guess. But Smoke? That's a poor choice IMO.

How is Smoke a poor choice? He's one of the few classics who never really got a whole lot to do in the original timeline. They redefined him in MK9 and have the opportunity to bring him back with more to do.

I agree with glammetal, there are way better choices than Smoke. Kitana, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Shang Tsung - all of them are more popular and played much bigger roles in story.

Well he should appear as he's one of Quan Chi's servants now, though will he be playable? Not really sure.

Maybe he will have something to do with Sub-Zero getting back to his human form ?(Yeah I know it can be Bi-Han), I have a feeling there will be a good story revolting around Sub-Zero this time around.

MK9 ending or not, the dude is 6 feet under, just like the others.

Remember when Onaga ressurected most of the good guys as his slaves in mkd. But then they came back to the side of good

I don't get the argument about dead characters. Scorpion has been dead since day one. Come on people. The least likely to come back would be Noob Saibot, Liu Kang, Shang Tsung and Shao Kahn because they may not have went to Netherrealm. And I think they will be back in some way. Maybe not all of them but there is no logical reason why the characters in the Netherrealm can't come back when plenty have before. Shang Tsung could even be in the Netherrealm. Hell they all could be.

You may be right. I did a close examination and the gloves match Sub-Zero's. I still can't make out what's behind his head which made me think it was an alt Kotal.
