Shinnok

I love the idea, depth and story-wise Metal. And Happy Holidays to all. I definitely good with the ideas on movesets for the returning kombatants. As I thought of the a vicious X-Ray move for him in my earlier posts in here.
 
Perhaps this time round in the next game, Shinnok realises that the amulet he has got is a fake before he fights the earthrealm/outworld champion and secretly asks Sareena or someone to replace the orginal one Quan Chi has got and thus playing Quan Chi's game against him. I think it would be an interesting twist to the plot, making it much more harder to defeat Shinnok this time round.

What if Raiden tells him it's fake :o? I wonder how things will change from there. Maybe Onaga won't happen? Damn, I'm curious now

Yea, thats quite true. Perhaps there maybe some event causes Shinnok to realize his folly, like using the amulet before he starts fighting the champions.

Yea, that is a good possibility man, but Raiden telling him its fake is virtually like a suicide since Shinnok with the fake amulet will be better for Earthrealm. Shinnok with his real amulet would be unstoppable, perhaps he will successfully take over both Earthrealm and Outworld and reduce them to apocalyptic worlds. Onaga would still come to rise though, as long as Shujinko finds all the Kamidogu and when his time to hatch from the egg has come. Maybe Shinnok destroys the egg fearing the future. Lots of possibilities lol :p
 
Aldo. Unfortunately, Onaga's coming back from the dead, regardless of what change might have occurred in the alternate timeline, and it might be impossible to destroy due to the protection the Holy Men of the Dragon King and Blaze has set up. Shujinko will be a fool, like in the 1st timeline, retrieve all 6 Kamidogu and some vessel will lurk in the Lava Chamber, is gonna be possessed by the Dragon King's spirit.
 
Give Shinnok a better storyline as ruler of the Netherealm and his plan to conquer both Earth & Outworld.

Plus a new moveset but keep the Judgment Fist & Tricky Portal!
 
Once Shinnok is defeated by Raiden or another hero, Onaga comes next or Baphomet?

Plus. If Raiden got visions from his future self, what if Shinnok also obtained the same thing as Raiden did. And learned the truth that Shinnok's amulet was a fake and learns that Quan Chi took the real one.

Would Shinnok kill Quan Chi or let Scorpion & Sub-Zero do it for him?
 
Yeah. Shinnok just needs a major appearance overhaul and make the final battle against him more as a scary thing, like "Oh shit!!! I'm about to be up against a very powerful fallen Elder God. I hope I'm capable of defeating him in Mortal Kombat."


Oh yeah. I know it's page out of SF Alpha 3, but I think in Story mode, make the final battle against Shinnok a one time thing. No continues after losing, then we can get the bad ending showing Shinnok finishing off whatever kombatant the player used in battle and laughing menacingly as he finally has conquered Earthrealm and without anymore opposition to go up against his apocalyptic rule. And he'll automatically do one of his two fatalities after the match.

NO. WAY. This would be WAAAAAAY to frusturating, to have to go through the fights leading up to him again.
 
One thing we forgot, the Original Shinnok. He never died. He sent a clone of himself to go out to battle. Could it be possible OG Shinnok go to the new TL and helps out the new Shinnok?
 
His arrogance got him beaten against the sneaky Quan Chi in MK4 but...
Shinnok to Reptile: "I could kill you with a mere thought".

This is random thought but I always prefer the younger voice of Shinnok instead of the old one. Like this one, for example:

I'm not that familiar with him, but what I do know about him is enough to make him my current #2. That skeleton hand from Netherrealm, although originally done by Scorpion, is so cool looking. Plus the concept of a fallen elder god is pretty sick and original, at least it was original at the time. He was a nice boss character, and I hope he's in the new game. Three thumbs up.
