Yeah, and he can only morph into his opponent by using his Soul Steal special move.It appears that Shang Tsung is limited to only morph into whoever he's currently fighting. Instead of morphing into whoever he wants to.
There is a big difference between the two, though, the opponent actually tries to fight back unlike Liu Kang's in Deception.Cool vid, although I was hoping to see the soul rip. His gameplay looks very fun, although I'm not too sure I'm very fond of another recycled fatality from MKD (first Mileena got Kira's, now Shang has Liu Kang's? ehhh).
OK, thanks, I was hoping for his soul steal fatality from MK2/MK3 but that is awesome!
I bet he's fighting Johnny Cage at the Flesh Pits, right?

Oh, I was just asking because as of right now I'm unable to see the video.No, that's the Graveyard.
The video was nice, I like Shang's alt costume. His fatality could be better, but it's nice.
^ Yea i didn't like that either. I don't know if maybe it was hard to program but if they did it in MK1 i don't see how its not possible in this new game now that we have better technology.
MK1 --> 7 Characters, MK9 --> 27 ....
I'm nowhere near an expert at this stuff, but I think that the reason why they could do it back then is because they were sprites and shared animations; I think changing into over 20 different 3D models, all of which have different sets of animations and internal skeleton mapping, would be too difficult/time-consuming to achieve. Just my theory, though.^ Yea i didn't like that either. Hmmm, that makes sense...This was exactly the discussion that we had a couple months ago, where I suggested that the best solution to the problem is to have Shang Tsung do and "Enhanced" Soul Steal, to morph into the opponent.

Fantastic FATALITY!
