Saw someone at D-4 EarthRealm... Strange/Interesting!

I posted this over at MortalKombatOnline.com forums...

I have never met that Shen guy, people keep talking about to get the White Lotus Headband, probably mostly because I am too late/old, and the biggest thing I wonder is if it really has anything to do with Secrets, if so ... Damn... I gotta start a NEW profile.

However, Yesterday, when I played the game I went to D4 and I noticed something strange. I saw a guy sneaking around fast & and disappeared when I approach him!!!

It looked to me like a thief, who I already beat and got the lockpick tools from, but then again, could it be Shen? Maybe he only appears at a certain time now. Hmmmm...

Or could it be the thief again?

Cuz, it's weird that everytime you talk to that old woman, she says the same thing over and over: "It's strange, the thief has seem to go away" or something like that.

Maybe the thief is still there, but he only robs on certain time of the week/month? My thinking is he has something else BIG on him...

I don't know for sure it's the thief but the guy was moving around really fast, and I am NOT meditating, I am walking towards his direction... he disappeared fast.

The date it happened was 12-15-47 I am trying to find out if this happens only on the 15th... but wait until Jan-15-48.

Just let you know, so you may assist me finding out who exactly was that person!
 
I also saw that guy, and the lady said the same thing to me. He runs over by those trees and then dissapears. I could punch him fast enough. And i couldnt get him to re apear. Bastard. But i have no idea who this Shen you are talking about is........maybe i just dont remember, i dont remember alot of details.....thats what i get for never taking drugs my whole life.
 
He's a thief. Punch him and he'll drop some lockpicking tools, allowing you to get into some locked huts early.

That's all.

No. If you read what I said I already beat this guy, and got the lockpick from him. Plus, I already completed Konquest.

Does that thief come back, is that what you are saying?
 
do any of the players other than Shinjinko or whatever age? Because maybe he could be in ties with the Black Dragon or Red Dragon him being so swift and everything and an apparent theif? I doubt it would be Kano, but there's other possibilities. Does this stand a chance of being true or am I just thinking too much?
 
The character they are talking about is not the same character as the lockpicking thief. He is similar to that character in the starting village you you see for a split second in the background, runs off real quick, and vanishes. There is no way to get near him or punch him.
 
He runs around during the day time... he looks like the same one you get the lockpicking tools from, but he is much harder to catch and punch... I tried countless times to get him, but i missed or he just isn't hitable. :x
 
Thief

I've encountered him many times. It looks like he is just a glitch. He is not hitable. Every time I see him is when I've ran to that location straight from the portal after teleporting to earthrealm.
 
If you remember in the starting village, this guy appears in many parts of it at different times. You can never catch him as he is fast, just vanishes, and is always a good deal out of your reach.

It could be a lead? Since he appears in the village and in Earthrealm ... you catch him? Get a key to the Earth Village? And if you are a member of the Lotus (headband) than you can enter the Shaolin academy? Pretty far off but a good theory.

I think some of the MK developers need to hire people on message boards. I've seen some really creative ideas for secrets. Of course I have also seen some terrible ones.

I havn't tried in Earthrealm. I tried in the village but he was always out of my reach. I'm gonna go check it out today. I have seen him, just havn't paid any attention to him.

The one thing that bugs me about Konquest is the Nitara/Cyrax thing in Netherrealm. Those are the two I want to get over too ... but I guess that isn't happening.
 
I'm probably going to get shouted at big time for doing this but after reading these posts again, I'm interested in knowing if anyone ever figured this out?
 
I remember hearing a way to get to Cyrax and Nitara but it was complicated.

I think you have to some how move Ermac towards a guard blocking a bridge then do Ermacs training while he's standing next to the guard then run past the gaurd as soon as the training is over.

but I never tried it so I don't know if it works.

Do you have any idea who this character is who's running away from you and vanishes near the start in the village .. that's Scorpion.

And if your wondering who that thief is with the lockpick tools, that is no black dragon member. He is just some common village thief. Because he is afterall the exact same boy in the village who gives you the mysterious key for finding him when he dissapears.
