I just downloaded the trailers and i saw this guy doing a fatality on Scorpion right? The guy does a normal punch and instead of blood coming out, Saliva/Sweat does (Just like MK 1). It looks better now. :)

Yeah um, I don't remember anything but blood from MK1. The only game I remember having saliva was MK:DA, and possibly MK:D.

I could be wrong though.

MK:DA had saliva MK:D didn't..Actully MK:D lost many stuff that were in MK:DA like afer a POWER attack while the opponent is flying to the other side of the arena you can see dust..And face scars they were way better at MK:DA...Well MK1 had saliva

The blood was replaced with sweet in the Nintendo translations constantly... Do you mean that?

Thats nothing since all other verisons had blood.

Which MK game for Nintendo only had sweat?

I know MK1 was censored in the blood department but there wasn't any sweat unles you mean like during MK:DA fatalities. *Sonya's to be precise/etc.*

UMK3/MK2/MK3/MK:T didn't have sweat and my version of MK4 for the N64 didn't have that sweat either.

The SNES version of MK1 replaced blood with sweat. Basically, they left the blood in the game, but they colored it a grayish color and made it evaporate instead of hitting the ground. That's the only version of the game that had that done, though.

By the way, I'm imagining that they decided to tone down the blood for the trailer. No doubt the final version will be a hell of a lot redder.

My MK1 for SNES doesn't even have any gray matter coming out of the opponents. *Only during Johnny Cage's fatality where he sticks his foot through the opponent's chest*

But why did they replace his fatality with a crappy one? The head decap, was better.

Anyway:

Maybe I should check out a different Mk1 for Snes mine seems to have all kinds of glitches.

MK1 for the SNES is supposed to have sweat instead of blood. I don't know how your version could possible be missing that, but 99.9% of the SNES MK1 cartridges out there should have gray stuff spurting out.

They replaced blood with sweat and the more graphic fatalities with tamer ones because Nintendo was seen as a family company and didn't want their versions of MK1 to have all the mature gore of the original. After the Genesis version completely obliterated the SNES version in sales, however, Nintendo decided to lighten up (hence the gore in the SNES version of MK2).

Yeah, I sort of noticed the SG was more gorier.

Such as Scorpion's fatality. Snes: Looked like crap for MK1. SG: 1 word Toasty.

Maybe I'm not paying attention enough to the grey stuff if it is there :? I'll have to check.

It's possible that you could've missed it. I mean, it's gray, so it would kind of blend in with the background on most stages.

LARGE GLASSES DUDE LARGE GLASSES...How could anyone missed it,i thought its an error when i first saw it than it evaporates..WOW

Alright I went back and played I saw it.

it does blend in with a few backgrounds. I mean grey. Almost like looking at Noob Saibot in the dark. Compared to looking at human Smoke in the middle of a grey background.

Jeesh. And I said I saw it during Johnny Cage's fatality happy?
