Returning Special Moves Thread

Hey guys, instead of making one thread for each Special Move you want to return, post in here.

I want atleast one classic move from each character. Don't say the moves won't work in 3-D, because no one knows. Someone said Kabals Shredder wouldn't work in 3-D, why not? It would work. People said "Well, you could just jump over it." Now look back at the MK3/MKT days, you could jump over it. DO NOT make this a thread about wether or not the moves will work in 3-D, make another topic for that.

Cyrax- Net, Teleport
Sektor- Rockets, Teleport Punch
Smoke- Grappling Hook, Teleport Punch
Reptile- Invisibility, Forceballs
Sub Zero- Freeze, Ground Freeze
Kabal- Shredder, Tornado
Baraka- Slice & Dice, Metal Shard
Rain- Mind Control, Thunder

and the list goes on.

I'm currently rooting for Jax's gotcha grab to make a return. Also Raiden's teleport and Noob Saibot's clone throw.

I've said it before, but I want Kitana to have her real fan lift back (not that lame move she had in DA) as well as her fan toss projectile. It pisses me off that they completely stripped her down in DA... no, not that kind of stripped.

Yeah, that would be nice.

I WISH she was stripped that way

Cyrax was stripped of his fishing net, poor cyrax.

Moves that need to return IMO.

Cyrax: Acid Net: It is his only free-hit projectile move and in MK:DA he was horrendous due to it missing. (Along with a few other moves)

I also think they should at least give him his two best combos back:

(The bitch smack one, and the Hp, HK, HP, HK, HK, HP, B HK.)

Sektor: Teleport-Uppercut:

This has got to be his best move, it isn't that hard to stop but it is a good combo leading device. Plus since there will be aerial combo=easy combo in air.

Smoke (Human) = Spear I don't care I want it back for him >_> Free hit bastard I know.

Reptile: Acid Balls/Force Balls: Combo leading bitch. This thing is one of MK's deadliest moves ever.

Jax: Charging punch: I love it when I cheap shot with that or fake someone out.

Jax: Continuous throw:

Self-Explainatory

Kano: Krazy Ball from MK:T/UMK3/MK3 one of his better curl-up ball moves.

Sonya: Bycicle kick:

Very fun to use along with that leg slam move.

Scorpion: MK2 move I think everyone knows which one ^_^.

Spear and all.

Kung Lao= Spin from hell: Not the real name but I love it along with his easy to use hat and teleport.

Raiden: Flying Raiden: I love this move so abusively used.

Sub-Zero: Slide, and Slip.

LMAO at the slip one. Slide just easy enough to pull.

Kabal: All of his old moves:

Make him one of the most powerful characters once again.

Rain: All of his old moves:

Three moves should be easy. Plus his were very fun and cheap.

TBC.

Funny, just two days ago I was discussing this exact same issue on the phone to a good buddy of mine. In MK:DA they ddi strip her, and give her that semi-gay half-assed attempt at a fan lift.

When she uses it, the hapless victim looks like they're treading water. But in classic MK, the fan lift is on a 45% angle. One of the MANY reasons I hated MK:DA with a a passion.

Yeah, exactly. I'm thinking that they'll bring back her original fan lift for this game, though, since it would obviously be more useful in a game with a real air-kombat system.

A good point.

Kitana owned the air in MK2 and subsequent 2D sequels, Imo. But I guess the transition to the 3D world made it impractical to a certain degree. And like you say, the real air-combat system that will be utilised in MKA will hopefully take advantage once again of Kitanas awesome air juggles.

They didn't have his Net in MK:DA. They had Spin Kicks, Detonator (far or close), and Slice and Dice

The Spin Kick.

That move was so lame that it's not funny.

Tell me about it

The first thing I thought when I saw it was "Wow, Cyrax is a ballerina!"

Darrius also had it, that makes it twice as lame.

Cyrax the Ballerina. Good one, lol.

I never knew Darrius even had a similar kick. Weird that.

They can both do a dance for us, hehe.

Haha yeah, he had one too.

I think Midway is racist, haha. They gave that spinning kick to two black guys

BREAK DANCE, YO!

But, off of the Cyrax Subject.

I'm sure you guys remember Sub-Zero's freezing move from MK:DA where he would like...shake and spazz out and it was kind of the same effect as the Ice Clone. Would you guys rather have the Ice Shake move or the Ice Clone move; or both?

I actually liked Subby's Ice Shaker in MKDA. And of course I loved his Ice Clone, but only the MK3 and MK4/gold version. In MK3 Ultimate they toned down the cheesiness of it. I've caught many people in an Ice Clone even when they were blocked. A glitch? HAHAHA..

I always thought it was supposed to freeze you whether you were blocking or not, so the only way to avoid it was not to touch it. I dunno, maybe it wasn't meant to be that way, but I know I've caught the computer with that move in the block position as well.

I'd definitely choose the Ice Clone over that shaker move, though. That move made for some seriously killer strategies and combos.

Ice shaker was harder to dodge because it was a lot more sudden then Ice clone. But Ice Clone used to make people I played against panic when I used it. Ita a toughy to choose from really. There is a lot more chance to avoid Ice clone then Ice shaker.

But from look... Ice clone wins... Because Ice Shaker looks gay.

Wow...this thread is like a comglomerate of all the things I don't agree with...I thought the Ice Clone was useless and always will be, the Ice Shaker was a far superior move. And Cyrax/Darrius spin-kick was one of the most useful and hard to dodge sudden attack moves in either of the two games (along with Jax's piston punch).

Cyrax: Net
Sektor: Seeking Missile, Teleport Upppercut - who has never caught someone using these two attacks?
Rain: Rain Tempest, Super Roundhouse, Paralise Ball
Stryker: Hi and Lo Grenades, Baton Throw, Gun
Sonya: Bicycle Kick, Leg Grab
Johnny Cage: Split Punch - almost useless, but funny
Jax: Gotcha Grab, Multiple Throw
Kano: Knife
Kung Lao: Spin
Reptile: Forceballs
Jarek: Ground Shaker

I know that that is why I said it was "Due to it being missing in DA"

I wish it was back, although that triple kick thing XP.
