This movie was awesome. This one actually had a charecter from the video game! Of course it was Jill Valentine(who else?). Tell me your comments of the movie. If you have not seen it, SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the Resident Evil movies, but I dont perticularly care for the games, so the fact no one from the game was in the first one didnt bother me. Also, last I checked Nemesis was from the games also.

Spoilers ahead:

Well first off, I love the Resident Evil Games, mainly the 1st original game and hopefuly RE4. The movie start were the first one left off, Alice in the middle of a chaotic Raccoon City.
This time around Umbrella corp is about to sanatize the city and evacuating the uninfected ones before that but things goes bad and all remaining citizens and rescue teams, like S.T.A.R.S to give an example, are left behind in this chaos.
You learn about Mr. Ahford, responsible for the virus, that he was creating a cure for his daughter, and she didn't succesfuly escape Raccoon City and she is somewhere in the middle of the city, which it is explained earlier. Mr. Ashford contact Alice and other people to tell them that the first ones rescuing his daughter, will be told how to get out of the city before it get sanatized.
You also get Carlos and Jill (with her totally out of place uniform). I think being dressed like that was totally unecessary, even the videogame didn't do that.
A good thing is that you get to know more about the Background story of Alice, which I think was the good a probably the best part of the movie.
Zombies? Yes there are Zombies but not unlike Dawn of the dead or 28 Days later. They are boring and unscary.
One thing that annoyed me a lot about this movie is all the Matrixesques moves (Witch I love a lot btw), slowmotion,....If they are going to "copy" it, at least they should do it right or at least try to be original. The fight scenes aren't very exciting, specially the one of Alice vs the Nemesis The one everyone is expecting surely. The shots are just plain terrible
An Easter egg:
There is one scene taken from RE Code Veronica's Intro; the one with the chopper shooting at the building and Claire Redfield running to avoid the bullets and then she get surounded by Umbrella's guards, drops the gun and quickly falls on the ground catching the gun and shooting and gas tank near the guards blowing them.
Here it is exacly the same thing except that it is with Alice and there are only three guards and she shoots them directly while falling.
You want to know witch one of the to scene is better? Easy answer; the Videogame one hands down, more intense, tight, more dramatic,...
When are we going to get a good Videogame to film adaptation?
I fear for my beloved videogame series which is Metal Gear Solid. I fear the result of an adaptation

I thought it was a great movie as long as you took it for what it was. I missed the music from the first movie cause it added suspense to what would happen next. That was my only real complaint on RE 2. Other then that it was good.

I thought it was okay. I'm just wondering why they choose the unsexiest of moments to get Milla Jovovich naked, though. Makes my penis sore.

This was a fairly good flick. I liked the fact that Jill Valentine's character was represented and the actress who played her actually looks like the video game character which was cool (and hot). They also did a decent job on Nemesis...not as cheesy as I thought he would be.

I've only got 3 gripes with this fine piece of work.

1-I doubt that the Nemesis would have regained his humanity. Also, why doesn't he use his tendrils to inject the T-virus, model NE-T into his victims? (This one was in 2 parts.)
2-How is it that Dr. Ashford rose from the dead, if all he got was a slug in the heart? No zombie bites or nothin'.
3-That scene where Milla Jovovich is in the glass tube should've been a few seconds longer. :)

Otherwise, this movie was just as good as the original.

i've only seen the first one, got it in a box set with aliens and the fly. tbh i wasnt impressed at all. being a big RE fan, i just sat and picked faults with it all the way through, and the fact that when they were waist deep in water a huge alligator didnt attack them disappointed me no end. and i hate the way that alice is some superhuman fighting machine. the thing that made the games great (and the silent hill games better) is the fact that you dont have super ninja skills or the ability to summon some huge dragon from no where, you're just a regular guy with a handgun

I LOVE RE!!! but the films were probably the biggest letdown ever.

The director even said he has replaced all the elements of re with girls with guns and it was made for 12 year olds who like slipknot.......it was not a movie i want to remember.....MKA was better than that  (and thats saying something)

If you seriously think that MK:A was better than either of the Resident Evil movies then your opinion now has now lost all credibility!

nah man, im with you. mka was shit but it had decent fight scenes, and ermac was in it. im going through an ermac phase at the moment

MKA had a few decent moments......RE:A had me begging for the film to end.

WHY THE HELL DID ALICE COME BACK TO LIFE!!!! she deserved death.

Anyway Nemisis looked like something from the power rangers if you look closely.

i didnt saw the movie but i saw the makin of the movie but i saw the 1st resident evil and kinda sucks cuz there wasnt any character that was in the game

BUT finally in the 2nd there is jill and nemises

Thats just what we need.....Doom the movie isnt going to be anything like the game so why call it doom? its going to be like a space-version of "28 days later" and we know for a fact it is going to suck plus countless fans will be extremely pissed off.

Resident evil had me angry at the director for that piss-poor project he called a movie. I was really pissed off with him.

So many homages to the original games. Might as well post them.

*Spoilers, sort of.*

-When Alice is running along the building with the Helicopters shooting at her. That's something Claire Redfield does in the beginning of Code: Veronica.

-The frequency of the radio when we first see Jill Valentine is set to "3". As in Resident Evil: 3, which the story for this movie was taken from.

-The Helicopter leaving the city as the city is blowing up. Just like the games.

-The Nemesis growling "Stars..." as it kills all those S.T.A.R.S officers. In the games, that's all he can say.

-The Licker's tongue going around the guys neck. That's something that happens to Brad "Chickenheart" Vickers in one cutscene in Resident Evil 3. Except, it was with one of the Nemesis' tentacles.

-Alice's power are pretty much the same as Wesker's in Code: Veronica.

-Peytan looks like Marvin Branagh from RE2. Then again, he also looks like the funny-token black guy.

-Nicholai Ginoveaf is actually the main human bad guy in RE3.

-Angela Ashford actually reminds me of Shirley Birkin, and plays pretty the same role as her, from RE2. Thing is, she has the same last name, as Alexia Ashford from RE: CV.

-Dr. Ashford has pretty much the same background as Dr. William Birkin. Except, he wasn't a bad guy.

*/Spoilers*

That's about all I can remember. If anyone else can think of.
