YEAS! my first post...

Wellp, I am a HUGE Reptile fan. If a game doesn't have Reptile in it? I simply won't play it. I have yett to touch MK VS DC. I must say that after seeing Reptiles costume in mk9? I'm not interested at all. He looks like a god damn goon. I hooope that for dlc they actually take the game back to their "roots" and give more than one costume and offer ninja costumes like in the first games. Just csome colored cloth. If not i hope to god they give reptile his costume from MKA and not deadly alliance...yuuck.
 
I kinda like Reptile's new look. It's unique, but I understand what you're saying. Reptile in Human ninja form is awesome and my favorite, too. And good news is every character will have different alternate costumes instead of just a color change.
 
I'd assume that his alternate costume will be more traditional and ninja-esque. Generally, that's how they've approached alternates, with one outfit being more of a throwback to previous designs and the other being more of a departure from them.
 
His alternate could be similar to MKDA for all we know. I liked him best in MKA but I think his new costume is most excellent as well.
I agree with daryui that he should stay lizard-y and not become a human ninja again.

I'm hoping for MKA/MKSM myself. Don't think he will ever be "human" again. That was just plate swapping but I prefer more human look. MKDA took him too far from what he should be and from what I've seen the majority of fans feel the same. I love Reptile in every game but that one. He just didn't fit MK. He should be a reptilian ninja not an iguana.
 
His fingers get me. He has five in his human form, then as he devolves he has three in MK4 and then five again in MKDA. Not to mention his blood keeps changing colour lol.

They learnt from their mistake in MKDA though, that's why he was the only previously used 6th generation character to get a new costume in MKA.
 
Fun Topic..

I like his New MK9 look, new and refreshing, though I do admit it took me a little bit before I liked it. Reptile has always been my favorite character, not to play as but to visually look at and try to master. Id say he is my 3rd favorite character to play as (Sub-Zero and Scorpion) being choice 1 & 2 above him. To me nothing is better than the old Human Ninja form Reptile from MK1 thru UMK3. MK4's look was terriable, and MKDA was the worst of them all, the cheezy Iguana look was very weak. However MK4/MKG's Alt Ninja Costume for Reptile was pretty good, he was ninja with Reptilian Arms. MKSM and MKA look was a little better than the previous couple (so heading on the right track) but to me was not quite right. But with MK9s look I have to see its a new re-freshing look and yet still kool, with a Ninja and a Reptilian Look..(to appeal to old skool fans but also a new look for 2011)..alot like his Alt costume in MK4/MKG. Id have to say Reptile is BACK! I could very easily see a Human Ninja Reptile for an Alt costume which would be BADASS for all us Old Skool MK fans. Here is a list of best to worst Reptile looks (my opinion of course).

1. UMK3
2. MKII
3. MK1
4. MK9
5. MK4/MKG Alt Costume
6. MKSM/MKA
7. MK4

100. MKDA

Oh, Id like to add something, even though MKDA's costume was terriable, I would still like to see a Realistic Full Blown RAPTOR version of REPTILE simular to Riptor in Killer Instinct. That would be kool, too bad MKDA's Cheezy Iguana didn't come out awesome like it should have, making the MK Team never want to risk a full lizard Reptile again...but thats just it, Reptile is a Raptor not a Lizard or in MKDA's example a store bought Iguana.

I disagree. His MKSM look was his best besides his mask. Now his mask is perfect but the rest of his outfit is strange. I want him to have shoulder covering for starters, and a proper cloth V like the other ninjas would be nice.
 
I got to agree with some of the ppl here! Reptile in MKIII, Shaolin Monks & currently MK9 he lloks his best. Especially now, he isnt a swap or copy of other Ninjas. He still has a Ninjaesqe feel and look but he is finally his own CHARACTER!

MK9 look is alright but would like his alternate to have feet covered (shoes or boots) and facemask to almost a human ninja look

We shouldn't stop speculating and discussing because people don't agree on everything. I just don't want to see people insulting each other because they don't agree, that's all.
 
I'm not sure how it was my comment that seemed whiny...I've said in other threads that I like that he's finally got a proper ninja mask again. That alone excited me in the trailer, it's just that I was still really hoping for a proper human Reptile again. Hell, maybe as an Alt or DLC costume. I'd buy it.

I personally think his new NINJA look is incredible... its like an MKSM costume! I for one would also like to see reptile get a Human form back, but done with a twist! instead of him looking like a human ninja, his Alt costume would be that of a ninja outfit and Human skin! But up close you can see better that from a distance he looks human, but up close like at a victory pose or something you can see that the skin he has on is just a mask as you see tears, and scales on it from being pressed up to his body so tightly and also he would keep the Same Bone structure...
I think that would be taking it to a whole new DETAILED level for reptile dont you think!?
 
Reptile looks amazing in MK9 my fav reptile design actually... you can't tell what he's wearing that well, if you're talking about the interview with ed boon where reptile fights sektor, they're on the pit so it's kinda dark, but its a blend of his ninja look with the reptile look from MK4 or SM i think it's awesome, also the Iguana look for MKDA was horrible, he looked like Lizardman from the Soul Calibur games
 
I know alot of us are hope to have Reptile get his Human Ninja form, i know i am, but heres an idea...tell me what you think!

Alright keeping Reptile Looking the way he does now, but how about his Alt Costume be his MK4 outfit. I know it was the most popular reptile attire, but for some reason i think with his NEW look, this Reptile Could pull it off!
