Rain

Uh, home ports of MK games that were originally released in the arcade do NOT count. Everyone knows this.
I'm sorry but this logic just does not make sense. Like at all. Why exactly would a character being playable in a home port be any less significant than the same character being playable in the arcade version? Last time I checked they're still the same game, just on different platforms.

The ports were handled by a different company than Midway, but are you seriously going to tell the people who grew up playing with Rain on the console ports of UMK3 that Rain isn't an MK character because of that?

I kinda agree with the hail part, Revamp, but snow would make him too much like Sub-Zero, and wind would make him too much like Fujin.

If hail was some sort of EX version of a move that creates a downpour or monsoon type attack that stuns the opponent (EX ads damage as well) sort of like his water stream attack, which I thought looked lame anyways.

What about fog? Yet another type of precipitation only this one clouds up the screen at varying distances (about standard character height on ground level) to confuse opponents.

Seems like he is, apparently.

Rain is one of my main character in MK9 (the others are Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Nightwolf and Shang Tsung), and I used him a lot in UMK3 on Sega Genesis.
He IS part of the MK1 thru UMK3 era.
The UMK3 era didn't end when it came out on consoles.
The UMK3 era ended when the next MK (MK4) came out.

I'd like to see him use a water sword like Sub's ice sword (2,2,2) and give him a real projectile. He's my main, but I have to admit that he's not that good of a character in MK9, CDjr dropped him and nobody uses him in tourneys anymore.

He's not used in tournaments anymore, so suddenly he's not that good of a character?
How does that make sense?
So, just because he's not OP like Cyrax, Kabal, Mileena or Kung Lao, he's not that good of a character?

If's he's properly used, he can be quite a good character.
Just because CDjr didn't take the time to master him, doesn't mean he's terrible.
Last time I checked on TestYourMight, Rain was A tier, and that was according to R.E.O.

Lol, that's how tiers work.
Injustice's Bane, in almost any other fighting game would be extremely OP. Safe on a wide range of moves, free armor, great mixups, decent damage and massive hitboxes on his moves. But because the top tiers completely shit on his existence, he isn't that good of a character.

And if the top tier characters are properly used, they shut him down. Without question.

Rain was higher than Mileena on the tier list that R.E.O did, though.

Here

Also, Mileena is much lower on that tier list, but a good Mileena player can take out a majority of those characters higher on the tier list.
No way in hell is Sub-Zero on the same tier level as Mileena, nor CSZ, Noob Saibot, Quan Chi, Scorpion or Sindel.
A good Mileena would destroy a good player of any of those above mentioned^^characters^^ that are on that tier level.

Tier lists. These are lists that rank characters as far as their move sets?
Struggled with him as far as game play in MK9. The thunder cloud was cool, but otherwise nothing really stood out as far as move sets. He was pretty ordinary to use in that game.
