I wouldnt say it sucks, it is a more improved quan chi fatality(which was originally scorpions)

the original scorpion fatality/quan chi has always been bland, but with Rain they made it a little better because of the painfull leg snapping and water blade.

but it would have been alot cooler if quan chi didnt already have it.

I was expecting his lightning until you explode fatality back. Would have been awesome looking with these graphics

I guess so, they didnt give raiden a real shock fatality like people were expecting (his 2nd sucks balls)
and Nightwolfs isnt really lighning either, so they should have given rain a lightning fatality.

Yea I imagine him encasing the opponent in water then having lightning strike them, they explode but their blood/goop is contained in the bubble and they end up a puddle of blood and water

once again, a fan with better fatality ideas than NRS.

they should have had contests to decide the fatalities in this game
 
A cool fatality could be one similar to the one Kenshi had in DA, where he twists and deforms the character with telekinesis, but Rain could do the same thing encaging the opponent in a water ball and making it smaller and smaller twisting it, and the waterball gets redish because of the blood.

Rain's waterball and waterblast are 2 different moves.

You can see in the gameplay that he uses both, the waterball let you controll the opponent for a short time, the enhanced for a bit more (double I think), in the gameplay he uses normal water blast, with one hand, and in the vignette he uses enhanced, with both hands.

PS - Enhanced attacks can be noticed by the purple glow too.

Quan Chi's "On Your Knees" is excellent in it's simplicity. But yeah, the Rain version of it is rather dumb -- and not at all funky.
