They are natural elements? Since when?

How about we just say, Smoke manipulates smoke and Noob manipulates shadows, instead of randomly calling them elements. By your logic, Sonya would control the element of pink energy and Kabal the element of speed.
 
Dont forget JC would control the element of green balls, Kano the element of human ball flying, and pretty much everyone else who has some unexplainable super human ability. Of course, granted not everyone is human either...

No.

Elements are natural substances, like smoke, acid, electricity well shadow is just abscense of light, is not only my logic they are called "elementals", speed is not a substance and Sonya's move is just some kind of spray, also there are 3 types of characters, elemental characters, energy characters (cage, nightwolf) and armed characters (kitana, jade), and you have grapplers too.

In this cases, element is any natural substance excepting colorful energy.

Cage's green balls are energy, and Kano's ball is just a physical move, not elements, think people, is not so hard there is no need to troll.
 
Throwing a green ball of energy is not a physical move and Sonya's control over her pink fairy dust, is no different than Reptile using acid. Raiden uses lightning, doesn't that make him an elemental? Scorpion uses plenty of weapons, I guess he is an "armed character". Does Skarlet have the element of blood? What about Sektor and his element of bionic code?

Whatever, is not hard to understand.

Elemental /=/ Energy /=/ Physical /=/ Armed

There are mixed characters too like Scorpion, an armed elemental.

And yes Skarlet is an armed and elemental character, since she has daggers as weapons and blood as element and Raiden is an elemental.

These things are not going to change because they have already been put into the MK storyline. When Boon says the timeline will be different, it will. BUT not in the sense that Rain's parents will be magically different. Only the path of where the story of the games will be altered.

For instance, you can clearly see Daegon fighting in the background levels on MK 9. whether or not he ever becomes a playable character again is irrelevant. He will still be apart of the MK universe and possibly storyline intertwined.

Also, since Rain doesnt actually discover his demi-god heritage until Armageddon by Quan Chi, there's a good possibility that Rain doesnt even know that he is a demi-god or believes he is a prince. Of course, that could change in his ending or in MK 10 with Rain possibly siding with Quan Chi and Shinnock after they reveal the truth. Just my thoughts.

1. There are problems with this. One, Argus is a god and Rain is only 10,000 years old. Rain was only a child when Shao Kahn conquered Edenia. So that would mean Argus and Rain's mother would have had to given birth to him right around the time the 10th MK tournament for Edenia and Outworld, which is highly doubt. Argus is the Protector of Edenia, so I would think he'd be more concerned about the safety of Edenia than getting laid. So unless NRS ever reveals otherwise, the Edenian general IS the biological father of Rain. It would make much more sense.

2. So a cameo automatically confirms Daegon is making future appearences? Um I don't think so.

3. This is factually incorrect; they HAVE changed more than the paths of the timeline, more than once. Look at the backstory for Mileena. She was created during MK2 in the new timeline, and Shao Kahn favors her over Mileena. In the original, he favored Kitana and created Mileena in case Kitana ever found out the truth about her past. Also, Ermac was revealed in MK9 to be an entity of Edenian souls. In UMK3, he was said to be comprised of Outworld souls. In the original timeline, Kabal became a cop after the events of MK3. In the new timeline, he was already a cop before the events of MK3.

Shadows aren't a substance and Sonya's element isn't just energy, she always uses it in a solidified form, such as her dust. Also, since Sindel must have the element of hair, since she can control and grow her hair at will.

Basically, it's not easy to classify them and much easier to say "Sindel has the ability to" "Jax can manipulate" etc.

The MK wiki says that Rain is a strong possibility to be a DLC, its light years obsolete.
 
I like how everybody likes to Over-analyze everything. Jesus People, it isn't a philosophy. Why don't we stay on topic and talk about Rain instead of Deagon and Every character being an Elemental.

How do you figure Rain would've been born around the 10th MK tournament for Edenia and Outworld? Each Tournament is 50 years apart. you would be able to fit 20 tournaments in the time span of Rains life. He could easily been born before Edenia's last tournament that they lost to Outworld. NRS DOES reveal this to be true as Argus himself admits to Rain being his son whose identity he had kept hidden for so long. Although I agree with you that the story made more sense and was better when his father was just the Edenian general it, unfortunatly, isnt so.

I never said Daegon would be guranteed future appearances, just dont think he has been completely erased from Mk altogether.

You are right about Mileena and the others but those are small edits that some people may not have even noticed (except maybe Mileena's story)

i really hate to interject when such a scintilating and intelligent conversation is being presented. but umm. what do we think of rain? yes? no? kinda cool? i think they reissued scorpions 3,3,4 combo but other wise he shows potential. the win pose is pretty slick too.

Rain had a combo like that 3,3,4 in MKA if im not wrong.
