Are they Bros.? After i watched Mortal Kombat Anihalation or something and they said they were brothers. if this was true, why arent people talking about them fighting like Sub and scorp?
And would it be cool if they were fighting? I'd say Go! Go! Go! to Raiden

In any case, I wouldn't listen to anything Annihilation has to say. That whole movie was one load of crap.
 
Maybe they are, for all we know they might be putting that secret off until later in the MK series.

And theres the question of why has Dark Raiden got the same symbol on that round hat of his that Kahn has on his helmet. I looked at all the other charaters in the MK series, no one else seems to have that symbol on them.
 
raiden/kahn is too obvious a fued for me to care. we need new villains, and fresh ideas.
 
Yeah, Annihilation had Raiden and Shao Kahn as brothers, fathered by none other than Shinnok. But to take a saying from Angel, that movie was naff.

I wouldn't put any stock into the lore that movie produced. Stick with what the game says.
 
The battle in MK:Conquest between Raiden and Kahn was pretty cool.

Scorps and Subby, those two duking it out is a fight you can repeat time and time again. But Raiden and Kahn fighting is one of those battles you can't do many of. Have them fight once in a blue moon is enough, more then that and you would over exhaust the positions the two are in.

If you look at Mortal Kombat, there was nothing in the first game to suggest Raiden would go out of his way to fight Kahn. In fact, he was just there overseeing the event and in his ending it bored him... So he invited more Gods and they destroyed the universe... Oh yeah... And have a nice day. No rivalry with Kahn there at all. Raiden is worst then Kahn in fact.

That is why I never base anything I say off of that movie. God, it's so horrible....

If I remember correctly, it's mean to look like a Samurai's helm, because they had that little U-shaped bar on the forehead, like so:

Now, compare that to Dark Raiden's hat:

I think that what they were trying to convey with Raiden having the symbol on his hat was that he was still a good guy. But, that's just me.
 
Just think of it like this, Radien and Shao Kahn may or may not be brothers, but, at this point, it is obvious that they are not, plus who believes anything the movie/cartoon or comic have to say? I mean, stuff is just thrown in there to make it cooler, it isn't really supposed to affect the game story, believe the game, and only the game, because it's the only thing that really tells the truth.
