Quan Chi's Full FATALITY!!!!

I know but we don't know for sure, which is why we're speculating. Anyone with common sense would think that the Fatalities aren't crazy bad. I think it's more for publicity that they're keeping it under wraps. And I thought the whole "skimpy, 22 year history of violence" post was about public scrutinization, not scrutinization from the ESRB. Because one is a positive due to publicity, the other is a negative.

Or, like I said they could easily just be building hype to unveil when NRS is at the peak of promoting the game. Anything is possible and they're all valid reasons.

No, sorry.
I should have been more clear with that.
The public (by now) already knows that the name "Mortal Kombat," alone, implies that it will be violent and have Fatalities.
I just find it funny that this is the same company that's had a 22-year history of ÜBER violence, and the skimpiest outfits in MK9 (all games which were rated by the ESRB, except the initial release of MK1), yet they are afraid of the ESRB because of 1 MKX Fatality and 1 MKX X-Ray?
I don't get it.

They're most likely afraid this time because last time, they ran afoul with Australia's ratings board (which is government owned). The ESRB is entirely private sector, but commercial and licensing issues render the AO rating with the same effect as Australia's "Refused Classification".
