If this has been done before, then too bad, hahaha.
I want to see who uses what software to protect their PC from the hidden dangers of the Internet. I am talking about virus', malware [sry mal, lol] spyware and other malicious shit that gets dug in deep into your PC's registry and stuff. Let's face it, everyopne here is on the Net. So we are all victims of the above mentioned garbage. Here's what I use and I have never ever had a real problem.
AVG Anti-Virus [good so far] I used to use Norton, then McFee for years. But this one I get better protection. And there's a aload more options that I use too. Also, it doesn't suck my systems resources.
Spybot Search & Destroy [great little program] Run this at least once a day I reckon. Updates you get about once every 7-10 days. Always update or set to auto-configure.
SE Adaware [ive found this program a must have] I run this all the time when online. And for best results, run the "Ad Watch" in the tray. I found this to be a must have for blocking them tracking cookies n shit. Then maybe once a week run the main program and scan manually just to make sure no crap has gotten into your system.
Registry mechanic [deeps cleans and fixes your registry] I run this once a week. It makes backup files of your registry, so you can't fuck it up by accident. Useful proggy this one.
And lastly, once a day I cleanup my cookies. One way I do this is to to go into my C drive and check for errors then cleanup the shit. If you have highspeed internet and are online alot and stuff, this will get choked up after awhile. Clean it out. I run dual P4 3.2 GHz processors and if this gets choked, it slows my PC down a fair bit.
