Hey everyone, if you remember, piranhasoldier is a youtube user who has made quite a few fake Mk9 style fatalites that looked exceptional. Apparently, he is taking part in the making of some new video game called Death Cargo. According to him, its supposed to be extremely violent!!!! Heres just a simple preview of what the game looks like:

This actually looks kinda interesting...what does everyone else think?

That's not why I don't give a damn. Cool, I'll watch a few of his fake fatalities, but I'm honestly not interested in what he's making aside from that. He can call it the most realistic most violent game of all time, but that's not the only reason Mortal Kombat appeals to me. Maybe if I grew up playing "Death Cargo", and was along the ride for the fleshing out of characters I'd care, but I didn't.... and I wasn't. :zzz:
 
I don't care for it, because he used Mortal Kombat's publicity and turned it into his own profit... He got followers to basically promote his game, which, once again, I don't care for.

Call it smart marketing, I call it underhanded.

Plus, I highly doubt 1 person (which he never credits anyone else) can make a good fighting game. Look at the guy who made Bloody rage, (that flash game from loonnnnnng ago) It was crap, never got a second itteration, and I bet no one knows wtf I am talking about. It was supposed to be ultra violent, blah blah blah...

Super gore and violence in a fighting game =/= a good game.

From what I understood, it says in one of his descriptions that he is part of a team and he isnt making this game alone...but I deff understand where you're both coming from. We shall see what comes of it. And yeah Scorp, like you said, Ive never heard of Bloody Rage...
 
It would have been nice to actually see some gameplay, instead of him switching back and forth between menus. If the game is anything like the end of his last fatality video, then it's way to gory for me >.>

I also agree that the way he's advertising it is kind of shitty, basically riding MK's coattails. I guess we'll see if it amounts to anything.

We should be expecting some sort of gameplay by the weekend...but I totally agree with you there, if its anything like the end of that fatality video, thats just disturbing and not even enjoyable as a game anymore.

Derp. I know exactly what you mean, and Bloody Rage did get a sequel. It also sucked.I played the first game for what, 10-15 minutes? The bonus stages weren't even fun. The characters looked better in the second, but that doesn't take away from the shoddy coded aspects of it. I bet you don't know what i'm talking about, but that's fine.
