PC version of Mortal Kombat 9...

Alright, so I played it a bit more, think it's safe to say that the port is very, very solid. I'm surprised, actually. Other than the AA issues, and some oddly low-res textures (that blood...yuck...looks like a 24x24 image), everything else is good. I haven't tried out MP and I don't think I will any time soon.

And playing this game on a keyboard isn't bad at all, in fact even default binds are OK.

Glad you like the port! :D

@Rider It is'nt lame, you cant play it with AA at max with a card that's slower than 560 and get constant 60FPS!
Your card is only 2% slower than a 560 and you're not playing it on Max (16x QSAA is max settings).
For example a guy with a 460 said he has some FPS drop when Sektor uses his enhanced tools! so a 460 is'nt enough to play it on Max with constant 60FPS.

^ But i don't have that setting for aa. Highest is 4xMSAA.
Game is detecting which GPU and how much VRAM we have and limiting settings.

Plus can you understand that these higher AA settings are for Nvidia users ONLY? I have ATI GPU and can't have Nvidia's AA you know? This is MAX for my PC. I can't set these because i don't have Nvidia.

And difference is not really big.

And GTX560 is'nt for 4xMSAA, it's for 16xQAA! That's the point.
Plus your GPU is ALMOST AS FAST AS a GTX560 , So you should see how the game will run with slower GPUs, as i said, a GTX460 is'nt enough to play this game on MAX!!!
it's a Fighing Game, it SHOULD run on 60FPS ALL THE TIME! to be able to do that with MAX settings, you SHOULD have a GTX560 or Better GPU, But it does'nt mean you CANT play the game with 60FPS and Lower Settings. Recommended System is able to run the with constant 60FPS and Max Settings (16xQAA) for Slower GPUs you have to reduce AA to achive 60FPS ALL THE TIME.

Sorry Rider but I have to agree with Noob Faith. Although you are running max settings for your machine, it isn't actually the max settings available to the game, so it makes sense with your settings and setup that it runs at 60FPS.

Also glad to see that i3 isn't holding you back =)

Have you tried playing online? is Netcode better than Consoles?
And can you tell me about your rig? CPU-GPU ...?

I truly haven't, I did some single player for screen shots and to see how it played and now I'm currently working til 12 AM EST. I know me and a friend might try to play after I'm done.

My Rig:

i5-3570K @ stock

2x GTX 560 Ti 448 Classifieds in SLI

16GB DDR3 1600mhz ram.

128gb SSD boot drive

1tb Caviar Black 7200 rpm HDD

Windows 7 home premium.

Wow, played 1.5 hours and just wow: the port is SF4 quality (when it works, sorry for those who are having difficulties). Looks, feels and plays perfect.

Could you not explain on here so others who have the issue can fix it too?

At what point was freddy 360 exclusive? I don't remember that at all

^^ you're right, sorry about that.

if anyone have a laptop with 2 GPU (intel + Nvidia), you only have to Open Nvidia Control Panel, then in Manage 3D Settings, (in Global Configuration Tab), choose the Nvidia GPU as the default GPU, save and then try to run the game again.

That worked for me

I will try setting better AA from catalyst and i will tell you how it works.

Only thing i can't turn on is little better AA, just because game wont let me, because they decided to do it this way. But i am SURE that my GPU would be capable of it and that i would be able to get 60fps too with better AA because game is butter smooth.

An my i3 never but never let me down, i know very well what it is capable of and trust me this game doesn't even use 70% of my CPU and 80% of my GPU program is saying that. ;)

My d3d issue was fixed by changing the screen resolution to the lowest quality, then starting the game and cancelling the automatic setting optomization, i think i cancelled it pressing backspace, then i was able to go back and set the screen resolution to the original settings
