PC version of Mortal Kombat 9...

I really hope that these SR on GMG are not real because when i look at Recommended it's too much for a 2.5D UE3 game. But we will see...

I disagree. Console version runs at 720p at 60FPS. Move that to PC and you need more powerful hardware to compensate for Windows and the lack of direct access to the hardware. Then move it to 1080p at a constant 60FPS. Those hardware specs seem very realistic to me considering how good the game looks and that it needs to run at 1080p60.

Just stopping by to say hello fellow MK fans. I hope nVidia releases new drivers soon with SLI profile for MK, cuz I don't know if my GTX 295 can handle it with only one GPU.

The minimum specs on GMG say:

OS: (32-bit) Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8
CPU: Intel Core Duo, 2.4 GHz / AMD Athlon X2, 2.8 GHz
Memory: 2 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS / AMD Radeon 3850
DirectX: DX 10

You won't be able to max it, but you'll be able to play it. As for SLI, I imagine they would update drivers and profiles. It also takes advantage of nVidia Physx so that's another plus for the PC version.

Yup, same here, I found a voucher code for GMG and paid for my copy a few minutes ago as well. 22.50 is still better than 29.90. No point in waiting for a Steam preorder indeed.

BTW, in the email I got from GMG, with the activation instructions and all that, I can't seem to figure out where I should download the game from, and where do I get my product key to register it with Steam? Any clue? Never used Steam before.

You will get a Steam key on release date/3rd July, that you will activate/redeem on Steam.

As long as it plays on my Surface Pro well enough not to be laggy, I could care less what it looks like. Just the idea of playing mk9 anywhere just makes me drool. My main PC runs a 460GTX OC so I'm set there. I just want to try it on the surface Lol.

Thanks for the GMG code, misewell just buy it there instead of waiting for steam if its cheaper. I do hope its coming out earlier that would be sweet.

I'll be buying a retail copy. It'll be nice to add to my collection, not to mention it'll be out at retail by the time I can afford it and my internet is so slow that it'll probably be quicker waiting for the disc to come than to wait for it to download on Steam.

Wow, MK9 PC version already made it to the top seller Green man gaming list!! It is number 5 on green man gaming list in less than a day after preorders begun! Cant wait to see it no 1 on Steam top seller list!!

Already number 3! Go go go, MK!

Aaand it's first. Told you guys it's gonna sell great. :D I'll be adding to the number soon (stupid slow Paypal), GMG's 25% off offer is wonderful. Also I really encourage everyone to use or at least pay attention to GMG regularly, they are very reliable and their sales are sometimes better than what Steam has, though sadly they have a smaller library.

Hi, new user over here... well I have played on PC all my life, that means I missed most of the MK games out there, I was completely excited with the announcement of MK9 for PC. I had used the 360 controller on my computer and as everyone here knows the dpad is useless for a game like MK, so my questions are the following:

Is it true that the transforming dpad of the silver controllers breaks easily? We must have into consideration that the transforming dpad will be under constant pressure in this game.

Or instead of getting the silver controller, should I get a PS2 joystick with an adapter for PC?

Or should I buy a Mad Catz 360 controller?

Thanks

You can also use the analog stick for doing stuff in a fighting game (in SF4 it works fairly well) but the 360 D-Pad is not useless if you know how to handle it (I've completed Castlevania: Rondo of Blood with it so I know what I'm talking about :D). Don't buy a silver controller, it's not that good, instead I suggest you wait for the Xbox One controller, that one seems perfect.

I will be playing MK on keyboard ;)

This -25% offer on GMG gaming is ending on June 21 right? It sucks because i am not home till June 23.
Anyone knows do they accept Visa prepaid? Because i read somewhere that they don't.
