PC Version / General Discussion Thread

Lowered Shadows and it's much better.

Oddly, my game has everything downloaded but I'm missing the story and half the characters.

I can play as Shinok, oddly enough XD

I sincerely hope the legacy of the PC version of MKX won't be this debacle. I really wondered why they decided to try this experiment....it's krap.

What are your PC specs?

My PC isn't the most recent but it's not horrible either. I put everything on the lowest possible except resolution (though I lowered it as well). Still sluggish.

I hope new GPU drivers and having whole thing downloaded helps..

I tried a quick match before I went to my dr apt and it was pretty smooth. It definitely felt a lot different than mk9, but it seemed to run pretty good. I couldn't select half the cast though for some reason. I just left the PC downloading so hopefully when I get home, I can play it.

i have gtx 660, 8gb ram, i5 4670k 3.4 ghz. the game is lagging like crazy even at very low setting. is this normal?
It can help if you stop downloading packs while you are playing. If you have finished though, you are in the same boat than some other users. I wouldn't say it that normal, feels like bad optimization (and that's why I'm worried).

The issue seems to be the game isn't completely available because Steam didn't bother to release packs 5 and 9 for download.

Now it appears that packs 5 and 9 are available, but the game is still unplayable. Apparently Reptile, Sub-Zero, Goro, etc are all unlockable characters? ;)

You'd think they'd learn one thing from the pirates, and that is to COMPRESS the files and then having them unpack once downloaded. This would solve this problem of bandwidth and large file sizes... at least in the short term.

I dunno what's going to happen when the games start getting above 100GB. Someone better come up with 'Worm Hole broadband' technology or we'll all be going back to disks... or even 'quantum cartridges'!
