Patches, anyone?

Since NRS still has to release a patch for online lag, there are a couple of patches that I would like to have in the near future:
- I don't know if you guys remember, but in the debut trailer for MK9, the x ray moves animations moved way faster than they actually do. I know that this was because of the quickness of the trailer -and that they are slower in the actual game because you are supposed to enjoy them in their whole gory glory- but i would actually like for the x-ray moves to move faster. I think they look cooler that way, and, gameplay wise, the actual 'rythim' or pace of the fight wouldn't change that much.
-The second patch that I would like to see someday is for the goddamn 'rage quitters'. It's ****ing frustrating that there are so much sore losers out there, the ones that tend to quit the fight right before the last blow, or right before you're about to perform a fatality. With the patch, they could have respect points discounted or something like that, I don't know...

Well... do you have any requests or ideas for some patches?

Problem with the second thing is it would most likely affect disconnects as well.

Well, maybe you are right... but without being a software genius or something like that, I think maybe with the patch the game could detect if the disconnection was on purpose or not... just an idea.
What do you think about the first patch that i mentioned?

my only patch requests I've submitted in other threads:

* glitchiness with Shao Kahn sometimes not autofacing your direction when being cross jumped.
* Kahn's hitbox tweaked on the back of his character model as I've whiffed on uppercuts standing right next to him too many times to count
* Kahn's hammer uppercut also needs to be tweaked as to where in a cross jump it can hit you. It doesn't hit you during a late cross jump where you would anticipate that it would hit you, but it does hit you at times during what would appear to be a perfectly timed cross jump. It hits you at the very apex of the swing when your character doesn't even appear to be within the weapon's range.
* Kratos needs to have the hitbox for his Divine Lift (the move that pops you up in the air and goes slow mo like in GoW for another move) adjusted. Its an almost identical animation to his uppercut but the hit detection on Divine Lift isn't nearly as accurate.

For example it's not really possible to distinguish between unplugging the console and your modem crapping out on you.

With the X-ray thing I actually agree, you still get the same effect, but it wouldn't change the game flow.

I really hope they will patch the sudden dropping of respect points. I want to platinum this game and only need 3 trophies... Of course my kung fu is stronger but also You will learn respect (1000 respect points) and Ultimate respect (2500 respect points)

This morning I had 1400 points and then my partner got disconnected. Suddenly im back to 640 points wtf?
Also so the trophy for 1000 respect points never popped up:(

I want a patch that allows me to access the bottom of the move list (and the fatalities) by pressing up on the menu of the most list. Thanks NRS, this game rules.

Oh and for ****'s sake add a smidgen of startup time to Smoke's teleport. Just a little bit! It can still be really fast, but you should have time to at least humanly react to it if you're not already blocking, (Like Sektor's teleport punch) especially counting for lag.

I use the moves list for fatalities all the time, you just have to be fast and use the bumpers or triggers to scroll.

there is not enough time to pause, scroll all the way down to the fatalitites, read the fatalities, and then perform it. the match ends before that, as it should.
There's a perfect amount of time to press pause, look up the fatality, read, exit pause menu, and then do the fatality, just as you get the winning hit, or if your really fast with the buttons.

And yeah, pause menu should be disabled when Finish Him/Her pops up.

I'd also like it if you HAD to rate the winner in KOTH, I wouldn't even care if the loser rated the other person 0 and then left the match, as long as they rated. I hate it when you win the match and the other person doesn't even have the decency to attempt to rate. /rant :P

Imho its okay like that, in SSF4 none ever had complained about Ultras taking to much time etc. Its good like that. See it like that: You have time to think about tactics and Counters etc. during the xray.

I don't have a problem with balancing the game, it's a really good thing in fact. However, balancing the game to compensate for lag is a bit insane. Doing that would completely skew any offline games or future online games once the lag problems are resolved. They'd have to re-balance the game again just to level things out from the change they made to compensate for a temporary problem. I'd prefer they balance the game based on lag-free play and then continue to work on the netcode to eliminate the lag.
