What are your UFC 171 predictions?

Johny Hendricks vs. Robbie Lawler (Wealterweight Championship)
Carlos Condit vs. Tyron Woodley
Diego Sanchez vs. Myles Jury
Jake Shields vs. Hector Lombard
Ovince St. Preux vs. Nikita Krylov

I think Hendricks will be all fired up being hard done by with the judges desicion in the match against GSP and I think he will floor Lawler with a KO in the first round. I think Myles Jury will pull of a surprise win against Diego Sanchez. I also predict wins for Condit, Shields and Krylov.

I got Hendricks winning based off of skill and drive, but I hope Lawler pulls off the win. I can't stand that bearded douche, he whines way too damn much. I see Hendricks winning a decision, but if Lawler wins, it will be by KO/TKO.

Condit is on a whole different level than T-Wood, so no surprises there. Also, I think Diego will fight smart this time around, so I will take it for him.

I hope Lombard knocks Shields' head off, the UFC is no place for such a boring fighter.

Agreed with the Krylov pick.

I read this yesterday, and I would love to see her back. Her against Rousey will be great. She has been talking about fighting for the past year, so who knows. Not holding my breath, though. I learned my lesson when negotiations with Fedor fell through haha

I don't think her vs. Rousey will be a competitive fight, considering how long she's been out of the cage. They really need to sign this Cyborg vs. Rousey fight though, that would be the defining women's fight for the UFC.

I think if Carano and Rousey were to fight it would definately bring even more attraction to the sport, it would be like when lesnar came to the ufc many wrestling fans became interested in mma. I think this would be similar, the fact that these two ladies are known in the film industry it would gather the interest of an audience who do not normally watch ufc but are fans of their film careers in addition to existing mma fans. Tho you are right it probably would be not that competitive with Gina out of the cage for nearly half a decade but would still be awesome to see beauties take each other on.

Someone I would also love to see in the UFC is Holly Holm. She is among the greatest in professional womens boxing winning the title at three different weight classes. Since she began mma in 2011 she is 7-0 and is current fighting in Legacy FC. I think it would be great having someone of that kind of power on board. A while back I heard people saying how there was nobody left for Ronda to fight, imagine how competitive it would be for Ronda if the UFC were to sign both Carano and Holm and of coarse Cyborg too.

Yeah, I guess for the spectacle and awareness part of women's MMA, her fighting Rousey would bring a lot more exposure.

And Holm just finished her Legacy FC contract... I think a deal between her and the UFC will be worked out very soon, regardless of Dana's retarded claims that they are not interested in her whatsoever.

Oh, maybe that's what it was, White not wanting to sign her and my stupid brain interpreted that as her retiring. Or something.

And am I the only one not really looking forward to a Cyborg vs Rousey match? Don't get me wrong, I very much used to want that fight. But after all the shenanigans with her, I just couldn't care less about her fighting.

Anyone else here think its time for Big Nog to hang it up? Dude was among my top 5 in the Pride days. I remember when you just couldn't put him away. But it looks like the wear and tear has been taking a toll. Huge fan of the guy, but I think for the sake of his health he should retire.

Anyone else here think its time for Big Nog to hang it up? Dude was among my top 5 in the Pride days. I remember when you just couldn't put him away. But it looks like the wear and tear has been taking a toll. Huge fan of the guy, but I think for the sake of his health he should retire.
I agree, his best days are far behind him and I no longer think he is capable at competing at this level as we seen in his last couple of fights. He was one hell of a fighter in his prime tho.

So everyone wants to fight Conor McGreggor then, he gets called out by two different fighters in one night(Guida & Alers), that must be a record. I truely believe and not just because I'm Irish that McGreggor is the only fighter capable of dethroning Aldo from his featherweight championship. He is such a versatile fighter.

Let Big Nog try to avenge his Mir losses, then he should retire. But that KO from Big Country was absolutely devastating. More knocks like that, considering how long his career has been and the punishment he's been taking, he really does need to retire soon. I sincerely hope he doesn't take any fights beside a potential third Mir bout because he's going to do more harm than good.
