Again, it's more than likely a hacked download through the XLM because the content has probably already been submitted to Microsoft. I saw this happen with the WWE SmackDown! vs Raw DLC last year, months before it even released. Problem is, these hacks generally have their share of tech. issues. Here it's Skarlet's Fatality and Babality. She has a unique intro and call name from the announcer. Definitely not fake. We could possibly see Kenshi within the next week.

Is this a hack from the original game files? or some leak of the dlc?

Probably, the original idea : Skarlet was planned to be released together in the disc, it was NRS developers intention, but, maybe due the schedulling and time pressure, she was developed only to this point showed in videos, and, enough to attend her cameo in Story Mode.

Now, NRS is back in the development board, sketching over her pre-model and adding more details, best render and working in her special moves, 2nd fatality, and refining her details - maybe this fatality and X-Ray are mere placeholders and can be changed in final version (Scorpion 2nd fatality to Quan Chi, anyone ?). They (NRS) want a complete and functional character and so, this task uses to take some time ..... the process is not that easy and fast, since they have to test and, even discarding some initial ideas , and changing others ..... but since they seem to be working on her before the game's release, so, maybe she will be completed and ready for DLC download before May's end.

She will use kunais as projectiles, and maybe, as part of combos, that's for sure.
Her double katanas, probably will be used in some way, in special moves, or just like Scorpion use , maybe a starter for juggle attacks ?

I think, that , since she is not part of Mk 2011 Story Mode as a main character, having not a chapter, and now, she is coming as playable character, there is chance for Skarlet be part in MK 2 sequel, playable in the Story Mode there (if the game will have one) with her own chapter. She could join Raiden, Johnny Cage and Sonya, against Shinnok and Quan Chi !

Very nice. As everyone else has stated, her Fatality is pretty f--king sick. Her X-Ray seems to lack some of the necessary visceral oomph, but I'm sure they'll polish that up before she's finalized. Hopefully she gets some personality, I know a couple people who would like a new girl or two added to the lineup.

Im thinking thats hacked not dlc leak.Look in the users videos.He also has classic smoke,shadow noob,goro and kintaro videos.

I hope you're right. Right now she seems pretty generic, but given the personality and originality that NRS has showcased with the existing characters, I'm optimistic they'll do her right. Her specials will also play a big part in defining her personality, so it would be nice to see those too before judging.

EDIT: Fatality is amazing. First time I watched it was without sound and I was confused and thought she was using some sort of telekenesis since the knives aren't there's yet.

She looks very sick and disturbing... I love her!! That fatality was crazy shit, totally awesome. Hope to see her other fatality, babality and combos finished. Maybe she gets more power using her opponents blood, who knows? Skarlet is going for my main team for sure.

Holy cow, that fatality has tons of potential, really hope they keep it like that and can't wait for a second one... I always wonder why mk developers don't use different animations more often (guess a LOT of people wonder about that too ;p) like slit throats, burned alive, face melt, eyes gouged, brutal stabs etc... anyway, great fatality, vicious and brutal, and I love how skarlet is all about blooood haha :D

She's definitely NOT READY yet, just look at the drawing and sheathing animations of her twin swords in her pose and fatality. And of course her unfinished babality is also an indicator :)

Nevertheless her normal attacks are beautiful animated! I love it when people are taking trouble to animate such details. This shows how much love they put into the game.


I cannot wait to see the final result :)

This gives me hope that Kenshi will also have a scabbard, like on some of the concepts :)

These video leaks really made my day :)

From what i can tell she must have been made in the flesh pits she is made of blood and seems to very much enjoy blood letting.

Her intro is her forming from a pool of blood. It's an easy assumption to jump to, thought not necessarily an accurate one. Sub-Zero's intro features him "icing" himself into existence though he's not made of ice. She may have another deeply unsettling connection to blood lol.

I'm not too impressed, but I certainly won't complain at another character for the roster.

And yeah, she seems quite 'blood-based'. Maybe something Vampire related, or loosely based on Nitara perhaps? Curious to see her specials...

Nice! how i didnt see her intro... maybe i skipped that video, gonna check. Hope she is like a vampire, cause i never liked Nitara because i dont like winged vampires...
