Official MK9 Demo Thread

i don't think the living forest fatality has been implemented for this demo. I've tried all characters in front of every tree...nothing ...anyone have any idea what build of the game this represents?

does anyone else think goro might be fightable on demo? like if you go through expert w/o losing a round and do fatality every match?

I just witnessed the most awesome thing in the demo........the mother f***ing toasty guy!!!!!!!!! Im so flippin happy

Just played about 30 mins of the demo. Wow, the graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is smooth, and most importantly the game is really realllyyy fun. I'm already pulling of good combos with all the characters!! It feels definitely others have said, like MK2 and UMK3 combined...really fast and the ability to make insane combos by yourself. The computer gets pretty good on expert level. I lost a couple of times lol. Fatalities are pretty easy to pull off since you have plenty of time (about 3-4 seconds). I can easily say this is the best MK game ever. Period :)

To anyone who has played the demo:
Does anyone know how to tech grabs and/or throw escape? Thanks

EDIT: nevermind. I found it. If anyone wants to know it's just square or x as the opponent grabs you.

Great demo started playing on normal which was way too easy. So I played expert and even that was no challenge. I hope when the game comes out they fix the difficulty. Also I noticed they give you a ton of time to execute button presses making combos insanely easy to accomplish same goes for fatalities. But, this game definitely captures the essence of the early MK arcade games can't wait for April 19th

wow...no online available? Not even a generic player match?

not much of a demo...

You must not play many demos then...

Anyway, this thing is AMAZING. Haven't gotten Dan Forden to pop out yet, but I did perform a stage fatality on The Pit and that thing looked nice. I noticed how the camera is zoomed out more than in videos that we've seen. Probably because they know some people want to look at the backgrounds.

And that video at the end...my God...

Had to leave half-way through the initial live stream, but now I'm caught up. OUT-FREAKING-STANDING!! April 19th won't get here fast enough! Something I noticed, on the controller config, a setting for flipping your stance--I'm guessing front-to-back and vice versa. I would think that this might be used as a sort of transition during combos? Thoughts?

Anybody wanna gameshare. I don't have a PS3, but my friend does and none of us are willing to pay for Playstation Plus just for one goddamn demo. There will be free punch and pie...
