NRS's lack of communication about the netcode is inexcusable

I find it funny that people defend the lag. The game DOESN'T WORK and needs to be fixed. Why is this a hard concept to understand? Do you enjoy waiting for years to play this incredible game, reading every tidbit of info, obsessing, visiting this boards daily, then you can't even enjoy it online due to bad netcode? If you bought a new car and none of the power windows, windshield wipers, sunroof and headlights worked, you'd want them fixed, no?

This is most likely true.

I agree.

Ahhh, a breath of fresh sanity.

I'm also an old school MK fan. I stopped playing MK after the 3rd one. Smooth online gameplay is essential for me to appreciate the product.

But let's not act like this has been going on for months. The game has only been out for 4 open days.

I agree that someone should acknowledge the problem but that's it. Let's not turn this thread into something worst than it really is. We are nowhere near a long-term broken product.

they will sort it out just be a bit patient with it..... they are going to be working on this 100% for sure because they will not want to lose players over it otherwise they cannot sell as much DLC this is a major factor

I'm not trying to say the game doesn't need to be fixed, I'm saying I'm sure they are working on it. Why do we HAVE to have an announcement that they are working it. It's not that I think we don't deserve an announcement for puting our hard earned money in it. I can wait a month for it before I start complaining.

I agree with the first part. Just because some people have nothing better to do than sit with their thumbs up their ass on twitter waiting for announcement, doesn't mean the game is horrible. Yes. The lag needs fixed. I refused to play (Not that it matters now since PSN is down) online for a few weeks til it got fixed. But, if any of you would think logically... NRS knows that it needs fixed.. why the hell would they not fix it? Oh that's right... your the same people that have been saying NRS hates all of its fans for various, invalid, stupid reasons.

Because every game comes out perfect and doesn't need to be fixed, right?

What a rare case we have here.. Five days after launch, and a few lag issues.. Unfcukingheard of.

lol

Read the thread.

We've said it a million times.

We don't expect an amazingly quick fix, we expect some communication and assurance.

Taking from personal experience? Kidding, this thread IS getting out of hand though...

Any thread that says anything against the almighty NRS gets out of hand, because people will blindly defend them until the death.

It's funny how people in the thread are providing feedback so NRS can provide a better experience, but a lot of the NRS knights are in here actually hurting the situation.

Edit: Notice the thread on the front page where people are saying they are completely 100 percent satisfied. That my friends, is how nothing gets fixed. If you don't ask for a fix, you wont receive one.

Look at all this hostility I receive, and apparently I'm the arrogant jerk. Apparently I'm wrong in this situation. Transparently I'm just a big retard.

I never said you were wrong about what the post is about. In fact, I agree with you 10,000%. The lag needs to be fixed. It's your attitude. You're acting arrogant because you didn't get a message from NRS that says "We are fixing it."

Think about it logically. They promoted online play and said how amazing it was going to be, and then we get the shitty experience. Of course they are going to fix it. Just because they didn't say anything doesn't mean they are ignoring it.

Wanting the lag fixed is agreeable. It's how you came about it, and how you responded to everyone else that makes you
arrogant.

If it does not get fixed the game will flop out and then it goes in the bin apart from local play so the investment in MK NRS have made will get fixed because they have future plans for the title.... they should say somthing but after Easter Monday is acceptable people are on holiday so people on here shouting about stuff should get into the holiday vibe a bit more

Not complaining. Getting the word out. If you knew anything about the way mk works, the word is pretty important. I paid for the game, I deserve to know. Same thing if I paid for anything. Furniture, electronics, yard equipment, if something is missing or broken, they better let me know what's up.

I am thinking logically, and MK has a bad track record at not fixing games.

See. You're doing it again. "IF you knew anything about the way mk works," You act as though I know nothing and it is you who is the genius of all things Mortal Kombat. I understand that getting the word out with anything is important. It's obvious that if you don't say anything, nothing will get fixed. As I stated though, complaining because NRS didn't say anything directly addressing it isn't really the way to do it. There are a shit ton of threads and posts on this forum... and I'm sure on all the other ones... stating, complaining, *****ing, whining, any other verb you can think of that is a simile of "vocalizing" the issues of the online lag. NRS and WB would be completely stupid if they didn't fix it.

Midway has a bad track record. This is the first game that NRS has made with WB so basing anything from MKs past isn't really a.. idk what word to use... "good" way to form an opinion about how things will be fixed now.

Sure. Calling me a retard is totally not being a jerk.

I never said that I wasn't a jerk. I'm honestly probably one of the most hated people on this forum. I could care less.

The interrogation that culminated into this thread is legit. But wanting to turn it into a petition-like thread is debatable.

I'm fine with exposing interrogations about the current state of online play, but I have to agree that repeating the same arguments over and over again can be borderline annoying and *can* be considered as trolling. Once your voice has been heard there is no need to keep pushing ideas to compensate the lack of supporters.

Sub-Zero_Wraith: it's worth mentioning that English is not my native spoken language so pardon me if what I say comes out as snob. I think I'm doing a fine job at expression my opinions considering. No hard feelings, of course.

There are never any hard feelings for me on this forum. I learned a while back to not take anything on here to heart. However, with that being said, I, too, apologize. I can understand what is like trying to speak in a non-native language while still trying to get the native demeanor. So I also hope that there are no hard feelings.

If the game isn't fixed in a month a large number of people will have moved on, and it will start to impact sales. Games have a glow period that fades rapidly.

Is there a mode where the lag is less prominent, private matches maybe ?

I'm looking for people to play with on XBL so feel free to add me. The opposition is pretty much hit and miss on XBL. Would be great to get some people together for some tag-team matches. Little bit rusty from the MK2 days :)

When PSN was still up I found invites to be less laggy along with private matches. The just before PSN went down I noticed a nice decrease in lag wether this was parrying up with local gamers idk...
